ENGAGE THE MINDS OF OUR YOUTH
The Griffon String Quartet members currently work with children in northeast Wisconsin via the Einstein Series, a highly interactive program for school-age children. Students participate in private or group lessons or educational outreach programs. The quartet visits schools and classrooms to perform and discuss string quartet music, relating it specifically to relevant topics in the students’ studies and lives.
ENLIVEN THE EXPERIENCE OF OUR SENIORS
The Quartet’s B Double-Sharp program presents mini concerts for the aging or disabled, as well as their caregivers. Targeting people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, the quartet creates a welcoming atmosphere where people can share their observations and feelings about the journey of aging or memory loss. Attendees gather to connect with others who are facing the same questions and concerns and begin to build a community of support.
OPEN THE DOORS TO OUR CONCERT COMERS
Community-Embedded programs are all-inclusive for families. These performances demystify chamber music by creating an experiential bridge from short presentations to full classical concerts. The quartet performs pop-up programs in restaurants, coffee shops, businesses, art galleries, museums, and other unexpected spaces. Surprising and fun for all, these events bring world-class artistry to everyday settings.
