• Don’t leave the college before you sign-on to the laptop

• Use the Blue cord or wireless• Away from the college the laptop will recognise your

sign-on

• No Sign-on – No Access • A list of specific software on the laptop can be found

on the Media Resource Kit wikispace– Adobe Suite including Captivate; Presenter; Super

iRiver• Can be used to record the beginning of a lesson• Outline the lesson• What issues will be covered• Ask students for clarifying questions • Record• This recording can then be immediately upload to

TALS/wiki/Moodle in around 2 mins• Available for student to review

– Great if there are missing students

iPod and Belkin Recorder• This resource is most easily identified by students• You can play audio files that are useful for students• Add the Belkin Recorder and you have a REALLY

NICE recording device• Pro’s – sound quality is much nicer• Cons – cost is much higher – but not for you, it is

already in the kit.

• Plug it in before turning on the computer for best results

• Great quality• Brilliantly enhance sound files• Loud enough for a classroom full of 20 students.
