Visual Analysis

The color scheme of the advertisement matches the color scheme of the record companies production logo. This can make the audience link the advert and its music artist to that particular record label without seeing the record companies logo at the bottom of the advertisement. The artist’s name persona name, Jay-Z, contrasts very well against the light grey background giving a bold appearance to his name.

The target audience for this advert is males from the ages of 16 to 25 as this is the target audience of the genre the artists music is tied to.

The same image that is on the album of the CD, this makes it easy for the audience to recognize/find the CD in store.

Names of popular songs have been included to convince fans who like those songs to buy the entire album. The date of release is also includes the date of release on the advertisement, this would be repeated across advertisements in order to keep it in the minds of the audience. A website is subtly given at the bottom of the advert, this is useful for any of the audience looking for additional information that is not included on the advertisement, information such as the full list of songs on the album

The album’s icon is repeated on the advertisement to get the audience to associated with seeing this simple design to the release of the album and the artist.
