Marybeth Howley Similarly a huge thank you to each and every

one of our club members for their contribution and for making it

a very successful year

Together we improved and strengthened the value of our club

by hosting guest speakers providing new and exciting volunteer

opportunities holding fundraisers and ending the year by

VICE PRESIDENTrsquoS MESSAGE On April 16th Team GFWC-WCNT participated in Paint Your Heart Out Tampa We had 16 volunteers 3 of which were from GFWC-NTJWC We were so happy they could help with this event Thank you ALL who participated and to ALL the husbands that came out to help We couldnt have done it without you Vice President Membership Debbie Ferri

TREASURER MESSAGE

During April we made donations to Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay ($200) Paint Your Heart Out Tampa

($263) and The YMCA of New Tampa ($150) Various administrative expenses amounted to $200 Our

current balance on hand is $7004 About 65 of that will fund next yearrsquos administrative expenses leaving a

healthy balance for community service amp donations Please think about causes that are important to you so

that we can increase our already robust roster of activities With the meeting time changing to 1pm (at the

New Tampa Regional Library) those of you who have had personal conflicts with the meeting time will be

more readily able to attend meetings And on that note your $75 Member Dues are renewed in May so

please remember to remit yours to your new Treasurer Caralyn Paul

Irsquove enjoyed serving as Treasurer this past year and Irsquom looking forward to being your new President I am

grateful to Carmela and Ginger for all they have taught me and promise to continue the direction they have

set We experienced significant growth in our membership and added new service projects amp causes to our

activities I hope to see you all at the May 18 Installation Luncheon at the Hunters Green Country Club

And looking ahead our June amp July meetings are typically held as social luncheons which are a perfect way

for you to introduce interested friends to our Club So plan to bring a friend or two to our June 15 Meeting

which is booked at the Cantina Mexican Grill 10032 Cross Creek Blvd across from the Library We planned a

$12 fixed price menu with five yummy options An eVite with details will go out in a couple weeks

Bridging Freedom

Mynette Steele and Elaine Jones drove down to the Bridging Freedom offices on April 14 2016 to assist with

the bundling of 20000 postcards that will be distributed to different post offices and mailed to homes in the

Tampa Bay area The postcards bring awareness of the child sex trafficking that takes place here in our

communities and also highlights Give Day Tampa Bay 2016 Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour

online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay The midnight-to-midnight event

showcases our local nonprofits and makes giving easy whether you are a first-time donor or a long-time

supporter

On April 20TH GFWC Womans Club of New Tampa hosted Dalmatian Rescue Tampa Bay

The group donated money crates gas gift cards and many other much needed items

GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc Standing Rules

Standing Rules Approved 2182015

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

Section 2B

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

project This Fund shall be part of the Clubrsquos official budget

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

a motion to the Board and club members Specific amounts should be outlined in the

motion Amounts larger than $100 should be presented in the form of a motion to the

members at the next general meeting

6 All money from fund-raising events shall be submitted to Treasurer within 30 days of

the event unless otherwise specified

7 This Club shall refuse ads endorsements and all materials of a political nature

8 No solicitation of funds shall be made from assembled members without prior approval

of the Executive Board

9 No community events or other advertising will be permitted in the Club Newsletter

Exceptions will apply for fellow Junior and Womenrsquos Clubs as well as local non-profit

service organizations approved by the Board Ad endorsements and all materials of a

political nature will be refused

10 The Membership Directory is for use only in connection with Womenrsquos Club of New

Tampa business Use of the Directory for solicitation is strictly prohibited and may result

in non-renewal of membership status This prohibition includes the solicitation of all non-

Club related activities by email phone and mail or by verbal communication

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

receive preference when attending service projects with attendance limitations

12 Each member shall be given a nametag and membership pin at the time of induction

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

13 Any fundraiser involving a member and or the Club must be presented to the board

in writing no later than one month prior to the event It must be approved by a majority

vote of the Executive Board before being presented to the Club

14 The use of the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc name andor logo may not

be used for fundraising of any kind without the approval of the Executive Board

15 All donationscontributions approved in the Clubrsquos Budgets must be made to the

recipient organization in the name of the Club ie ldquoGFWC Womanrsquos Club of New

Tampa Incrdquo and shall not be made in the name of an individual member

16 Dues will be prorated on a mid-year bases determined and approved by the

Executive Committee

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

Section 4 Term The elected officers shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected The term shall begin at the close of the May meeting No member shall hold the same office for more than two (2) consecutive years Section 5 Duties A The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club shall appoint all chairmen and the Parliamentarian She shall be a member of the Executive Board and ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee 1) Prepare agendas for general and board meetings 2) Work with Treasurer to ensure all legal aspects of the club are current and up to date ie club insurance corporate filing and 501c3 rules and regulations 3) In a Co-President situation the acting presidents must mutually agree and submit in writing to the Board what duties each will be responsible for throughout the full term B The 1st Vice President of Membership shall maintain records of dues paying members construct club calendar and programs with the Executive Board and assist in the retention and recruitment of members Assist in collecting club reports throughout the year and turn them over to the reporting chairman by November each year She shall assist reporting chairman in the compilation of the club reports B The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of all Business Meetings Executive Board Meetings and any Special Meetings She shall prepare for the President a copy of the meeting minutes at least ten days after said meeting She shall take attendance at each Club meeting and submit attendance sheets to reporting chairman each year by November She is also responsible for sending the meeting recap within one week of general meeting to ensure those not in attendance have ability to sign up for projects and are kept current on projects C The Treasurer shall collect all monies of the Club keeping an accurate record thereof She shall pay bills by check or electronic means She shall submit a Profit amp Loss Statement monthly to be included in the newsletter updates The Treasurerrsquos records shall be submitted for auditing by July 31st of each year and a report will be submitted to the membership at the next general meeting Section 6 Vacancies Any vacancy other than the President which occurs in any elected office shall be at the next General Meeting by nomination from the floor with a majority vote All vacancies in appointed positions shall be filled by appointment by the President Vacancy of the President will be filled by the 1st Vice President of Membership until a special election can be called to fill the vacancy ARTICLE V Meetings Section 1 Regular Meetings The club shall meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday from noon to 100 pm unless otherwise ordered by the Executive Board

Section 2 Special Meetings Special Meetings may be called by the President or by written request of three or more active members provided that all members have been notified These meetings can be by electronic means or conference phone calls Section 3 Quorum A quorum shall be 25 of the membership ARTICLE VI Executive Board Section 1 Definition The Executive Board shall consist of all duly elected officers of the club the Chairmen of Standing Committees and the immediate Past President acting as a director Section 2 Duties The executive board shall perform the duties prescribed by the bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the club It shall be the duty of the executive board to A Hold monthly meetings at least one time a month prior to the general meetings This could occur one week prior to the regular meetings or one hour prior to the regular meetings B Attend to matters of business between meetings of the club and approve unbudgeted expenses of not more than $100 C Approve the application of new members presented by the membership chairman before induction ceremony D Prepare recommendations to be considered by the members at the next meeting Section 3 Quorum A quorum for the transaction of business shall be a majority of the members of the executive board ARTICLE VII Committees Section 1 Standing Committees The standing committees shall be as follows A Membership which shall promote membership growth and retention B Bylaws which shall consider proposed amendments for consideration C Finance which shall prepare a club budget to be approved by the membership D Fundraising which shall promote fundraising opportunities for the club members and for community projects E Reporting ChairmanCommittee shall collect reports and put together club activities in GFWC Florida Report due Feb 1 of each year F Other standing committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the organization Section 2 Special Committees Special committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry out the work of the organization

ARTICLE VIII Parliamentary Authority The current edition of Robertrsquos Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the proceedings of the club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with the bylaws or standing rules ARTICLE IX Amendments The bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting by a two-thirds vote of those present and voting provided the proposed amendments have been presented at the previous regular meeting or sent to the membership be letter or electronic transmission two weeks prior to the meeting at which they will be considered ARTICLE X Dissolution The object and purpose of the organization being entirely charitable no part of its earnings shall inure to the use or benefit of an individual In the event this organization should be dissolved for any reason any remaining assets shall be distributed to GFWC Florida Federation of Womenrsquos Clubs which this Club belongs as long as the Federation remains within the scope of IRS Section 501(c)(3) or any amendments thereto Approved February 18 2015

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

During April we made donations to Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay ($200) Paint Your Heart Out Tampa

($263) and The YMCA of New Tampa ($150) Various administrative expenses amounted to $200 Our

current balance on hand is $7004 About 65 of that will fund next yearrsquos administrative expenses leaving a

healthy balance for community service amp donations Please think about causes that are important to you so

that we can increase our already robust roster of activities With the meeting time changing to 1pm (at the

New Tampa Regional Library) those of you who have had personal conflicts with the meeting time will be

more readily able to attend meetings And on that note your $75 Member Dues are renewed in May so

please remember to remit yours to your new Treasurer Caralyn Paul

Irsquove enjoyed serving as Treasurer this past year and Irsquom looking forward to being your new President I am

grateful to Carmela and Ginger for all they have taught me and promise to continue the direction they have

set We experienced significant growth in our membership and added new service projects amp causes to our

activities I hope to see you all at the May 18 Installation Luncheon at the Hunters Green Country Club

And looking ahead our June amp July meetings are typically held as social luncheons which are a perfect way

Bridging Freedom

Mynette Steele and Elaine Jones drove down to the Bridging Freedom offices on April 14 2016 to assist with

the bundling of 20000 postcards that will be distributed to different post offices and mailed to homes in the

Tampa Bay area The postcards bring awareness of the child sex trafficking that takes place here in our

communities and also highlights Give Day Tampa Bay 2016 Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour

online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay The midnight-to-midnight event

showcases our local nonprofits and makes giving easy whether you are a first-time donor or a long-time

supporter

Standing Rules Approved 2182015

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

Section 2B

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

project This Fund shall be part of the Clubrsquos official budget

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

a motion to the Board and club members Specific amounts should be outlined in the

motion Amounts larger than $100 should be presented in the form of a motion to the

members at the next general meeting

6 All money from fund-raising events shall be submitted to Treasurer within 30 days of

the event unless otherwise specified

7 This Club shall refuse ads endorsements and all materials of a political nature

8 No solicitation of funds shall be made from assembled members without prior approval

of the Executive Board

9 No community events or other advertising will be permitted in the Club Newsletter

Bridging Freedom

Mynette Steele and Elaine Jones drove down to the Bridging Freedom offices on April 14 2016 to assist with

the bundling of 20000 postcards that will be distributed to different post offices and mailed to homes in the

Tampa Bay area The postcards bring awareness of the child sex trafficking that takes place here in our

communities and also highlights Give Day Tampa Bay 2016 Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour

online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay The midnight-to-midnight event

showcases our local nonprofits and makes giving easy whether you are a first-time donor or a long-time

supporter

Standing Rules Approved 2182015

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

Section 2B

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

project This Fund shall be part of the Clubrsquos official budget

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

a motion to the Board and club members Specific amounts should be outlined in the

motion Amounts larger than $100 should be presented in the form of a motion to the

members at the next general meeting

6 All money from fund-raising events shall be submitted to Treasurer within 30 days of

the event unless otherwise specified

7 This Club shall refuse ads endorsements and all materials of a political nature

8 No solicitation of funds shall be made from assembled members without prior approval

of the Executive Board

9 No community events or other advertising will be permitted in the Club Newsletter

Exceptions will apply for fellow Junior and Womenrsquos Clubs as well as local non-profit

Club related activities by email phone and mail or by verbal communication

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

receive preference when attending service projects with attendance limitations

12 Each member shall be given a nametag and membership pin at the time of induction

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

13 Any fundraiser involving a member and or the Club must be presented to the board

in writing no later than one month prior to the event It must be approved by a majority

vote of the Executive Board before being presented to the Club

14 The use of the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc name andor logo may not

be used for fundraising of any kind without the approval of the Executive Board

15 All donationscontributions approved in the Clubrsquos Budgets must be made to the

recipient organization in the name of the Club ie ldquoGFWC Womanrsquos Club of New

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

Section 4 Term The elected officers shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected The term shall begin at the close of the May meeting No member shall hold the same office for more than two (2) consecutive years Section 5 Duties A The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club shall appoint all chairmen and the Parliamentarian She shall be a member of the Executive Board and ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee 1) Prepare agendas for general and board meetings 2) Work with Treasurer to ensure all legal aspects of the club are current and up to date ie club insurance corporate filing and 501c3 rules and regulations 3) In a Co-President situation the acting presidents must mutually agree and submit in writing to the Board what duties each will be responsible for throughout the full term B The 1st Vice President of Membership shall maintain records of dues paying members construct club calendar and programs with the Executive Board and assist in the retention and recruitment of members Assist in collecting club reports throughout the year and turn them over to the reporting chairman by November each year She shall assist reporting chairman in the compilation of the club reports B The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of all Business Meetings Executive Board Meetings and any Special Meetings She shall prepare for the President a copy of the meeting minutes at least ten days after said meeting She shall take attendance at each Club meeting and submit attendance sheets to reporting chairman each year by November She is also responsible for sending the meeting recap within one week of general meeting to ensure those not in attendance have ability to sign up for projects and are kept current on projects C The Treasurer shall collect all monies of the Club keeping an accurate record thereof She shall pay bills by check or electronic means She shall submit a Profit amp Loss Statement monthly to be included in the newsletter updates The Treasurerrsquos records shall be submitted for auditing by July 31st of each year and a report will be submitted to the membership at the next general meeting Section 6 Vacancies Any vacancy other than the President which occurs in any elected office shall be at the next General Meeting by nomination from the floor with a majority vote All vacancies in appointed positions shall be filled by appointment by the President Vacancy of the President will be filled by the 1st Vice President of Membership until a special election can be called to fill the vacancy ARTICLE V Meetings Section 1 Regular Meetings The club shall meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday from noon to 100 pm unless otherwise ordered by the Executive Board

Section 2 Special Meetings Special Meetings may be called by the President or by written request of three or more active members provided that all members have been notified These meetings can be by electronic means or conference phone calls Section 3 Quorum A quorum shall be 25 of the membership ARTICLE VI Executive Board Section 1 Definition The Executive Board shall consist of all duly elected officers of the club the Chairmen of Standing Committees and the immediate Past President acting as a director Section 2 Duties The executive board shall perform the duties prescribed by the bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the club It shall be the duty of the executive board to A Hold monthly meetings at least one time a month prior to the general meetings This could occur one week prior to the regular meetings or one hour prior to the regular meetings B Attend to matters of business between meetings of the club and approve unbudgeted expenses of not more than $100 C Approve the application of new members presented by the membership chairman before induction ceremony D Prepare recommendations to be considered by the members at the next meeting Section 3 Quorum A quorum for the transaction of business shall be a majority of the members of the executive board ARTICLE VII Committees Section 1 Standing Committees The standing committees shall be as follows A Membership which shall promote membership growth and retention B Bylaws which shall consider proposed amendments for consideration C Finance which shall prepare a club budget to be approved by the membership D Fundraising which shall promote fundraising opportunities for the club members and for community projects E Reporting ChairmanCommittee shall collect reports and put together club activities in GFWC Florida Report due Feb 1 of each year F Other standing committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the organization Section 2 Special Committees Special committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry out the work of the organization

ARTICLE VIII Parliamentary Authority The current edition of Robertrsquos Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the proceedings of the club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with the bylaws or standing rules ARTICLE IX Amendments The bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting by a two-thirds vote of those present and voting provided the proposed amendments have been presented at the previous regular meeting or sent to the membership be letter or electronic transmission two weeks prior to the meeting at which they will be considered ARTICLE X Dissolution The object and purpose of the organization being entirely charitable no part of its earnings shall inure to the use or benefit of an individual In the event this organization should be dissolved for any reason any remaining assets shall be distributed to GFWC Florida Federation of Womenrsquos Clubs which this Club belongs as long as the Federation remains within the scope of IRS Section 501(c)(3) or any amendments thereto Approved February 18 2015

TREASURER MESSAGE

During April we made donations to Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay ($200) Paint Your Heart Out Tampa

($263) and The YMCA of New Tampa ($150) Various administrative expenses amounted to $200 Our

current balance on hand is $7004 About 65 of that will fund next yearrsquos administrative expenses leaving a

healthy balance for community service amp donations Please think about causes that are important to you so

that we can increase our already robust roster of activities With the meeting time changing to 1pm (at the

New Tampa Regional Library) those of you who have had personal conflicts with the meeting time will be

more readily able to attend meetings And on that note your $75 Member Dues are renewed in May so

please remember to remit yours to your new Treasurer Caralyn Paul

Irsquove enjoyed serving as Treasurer this past year and Irsquom looking forward to being your new President I am

grateful to Carmela and Ginger for all they have taught me and promise to continue the direction they have

set We experienced significant growth in our membership and added new service projects amp causes to our

activities I hope to see you all at the May 18 Installation Luncheon at the Hunters Green Country Club

And looking ahead our June amp July meetings are typically held as social luncheons which are a perfect way

for you to introduce interested friends to our Club So plan to bring a friend or two to our June 15 Meeting

which is booked at the Cantina Mexican Grill 10032 Cross Creek Blvd across from the Library We planned a

$12 fixed price menu with five yummy options An eVite with details will go out in a couple weeks

TREASURER MESSAGE

During April we made donations to Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay ($200) Paint Your Heart Out Tampa

($263) and The YMCA of New Tampa ($150) Various administrative expenses amounted to $200 Our

current balance on hand is $7004 About 65 of that will fund next yearrsquos administrative expenses leaving a

healthy balance for community service amp donations Please think about causes that are important to you so

that we can increase our already robust roster of activities With the meeting time changing to 1pm (at the

New Tampa Regional Library) those of you who have had personal conflicts with the meeting time will be

more readily able to attend meetings And on that note your $75 Member Dues are renewed in May so

please remember to remit yours to your new Treasurer Caralyn Paul

Irsquove enjoyed serving as Treasurer this past year and Irsquom looking forward to being your new President I am

grateful to Carmela and Ginger for all they have taught me and promise to continue the direction they have

set We experienced significant growth in our membership and added new service projects amp causes to our

activities I hope to see you all at the May 18 Installation Luncheon at the Hunters Green Country Club

And looking ahead our June amp July meetings are typically held as social luncheons which are a perfect way

for you to introduce interested friends to our Club So plan to bring a friend or two to our June 15 Meeting

which is booked at the Cantina Mexican Grill 10032 Cross Creek Blvd across from the Library We planned a

$12 fixed price menu with five yummy options An eVite with details will go out in a couple weeks

Mynette Steele and Elaine Jones drove down to the Bridging Freedom offices on April 14 2016 to assist with

the bundling of 20000 postcards that will be distributed to different post offices and mailed to homes in the

Tampa Bay area The postcards bring awareness of the child sex trafficking that takes place here in our

communities and also highlights Give Day Tampa Bay 2016 Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour

online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay The midnight-to-midnight event

showcases our local nonprofits and makes giving easy whether you are a first-time donor or a long-time

supporter

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

Section 2B

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

project This Fund shall be part of the Clubrsquos official budget

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

a motion to the Board and club members Specific amounts should be outlined in the

motion Amounts larger than $100 should be presented in the form of a motion to the

members at the next general meeting

6 All money from fund-raising events shall be submitted to Treasurer within 30 days of

the event unless otherwise specified

7 This Club shall refuse ads endorsements and all materials of a political nature

8 No solicitation of funds shall be made from assembled members without prior approval

of the Executive Board

9 No community events or other advertising will be permitted in the Club Newsletter

Exceptions will apply for fellow Junior and Womenrsquos Clubs as well as local non-profit

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

Section 4 Term The elected officers shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected The term shall begin at the close of the May meeting No member shall hold the same office for more than two (2) consecutive years Section 5 Duties A The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club shall appoint all chairmen and the Parliamentarian She shall be a member of the Executive Board and ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee 1) Prepare agendas for general and board meetings 2) Work with Treasurer to ensure all legal aspects of the club are current and up to date ie club insurance corporate filing and 501c3 rules and regulations 3) In a Co-President situation the acting presidents must mutually agree and submit in writing to the Board what duties each will be responsible for throughout the full term B The 1st Vice President of Membership shall maintain records of dues paying members construct club calendar and programs with the Executive Board and assist in the retention and recruitment of members Assist in collecting club reports throughout the year and turn them over to the reporting chairman by November each year She shall assist reporting chairman in the compilation of the club reports B The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of all Business Meetings Executive Board Meetings and any Special Meetings She shall prepare for the President a copy of the meeting minutes at least ten days after said meeting She shall take attendance at each Club meeting and submit attendance sheets to reporting chairman each year by November She is also responsible for sending the meeting recap within one week of general meeting to ensure those not in attendance have ability to sign up for projects and are kept current on projects C The Treasurer shall collect all monies of the Club keeping an accurate record thereof She shall pay bills by check or electronic means She shall submit a Profit amp Loss Statement monthly to be included in the newsletter updates The Treasurerrsquos records shall be submitted for auditing by July 31st of each year and a report will be submitted to the membership at the next general meeting Section 6 Vacancies Any vacancy other than the President which occurs in any elected office shall be at the next General Meeting by nomination from the floor with a majority vote All vacancies in appointed positions shall be filled by appointment by the President Vacancy of the President will be filled by the 1st Vice President of Membership until a special election can be called to fill the vacancy ARTICLE V Meetings Section 1 Regular Meetings The club shall meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday from noon to 100 pm unless otherwise ordered by the Executive Board

Section 2 Special Meetings Special Meetings may be called by the President or by written request of three or more active members provided that all members have been notified These meetings can be by electronic means or conference phone calls Section 3 Quorum A quorum shall be 25 of the membership ARTICLE VI Executive Board Section 1 Definition The Executive Board shall consist of all duly elected officers of the club the Chairmen of Standing Committees and the immediate Past President acting as a director Section 2 Duties The executive board shall perform the duties prescribed by the bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the club It shall be the duty of the executive board to A Hold monthly meetings at least one time a month prior to the general meetings This could occur one week prior to the regular meetings or one hour prior to the regular meetings B Attend to matters of business between meetings of the club and approve unbudgeted expenses of not more than $100 C Approve the application of new members presented by the membership chairman before induction ceremony D Prepare recommendations to be considered by the members at the next meeting Section 3 Quorum A quorum for the transaction of business shall be a majority of the members of the executive board ARTICLE VII Committees Section 1 Standing Committees The standing committees shall be as follows A Membership which shall promote membership growth and retention B Bylaws which shall consider proposed amendments for consideration C Finance which shall prepare a club budget to be approved by the membership D Fundraising which shall promote fundraising opportunities for the club members and for community projects E Reporting ChairmanCommittee shall collect reports and put together club activities in GFWC Florida Report due Feb 1 of each year F Other standing committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the organization Section 2 Special Committees Special committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry out the work of the organization

Section 4 Term The elected officers shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected The term shall begin at the close of the May meeting No member shall hold the same office for more than two (2) consecutive years Section 5 Duties A The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club shall appoint all chairmen and the Parliamentarian She shall be a member of the Executive Board and ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee 1) Prepare agendas for general and board meetings 2) Work with Treasurer to ensure all legal aspects of the club are current and up to date ie club insurance corporate filing and 501c3 rules and regulations 3) In a Co-President situation the acting presidents must mutually agree and submit in writing to the Board what duties each will be responsible for throughout the full term B The 1st Vice President of Membership shall maintain records of dues paying members construct club calendar and programs with the Executive Board and assist in the retention and recruitment of members Assist in collecting club reports throughout the year and turn them over to the reporting chairman by November each year She shall assist reporting chairman in the compilation of the club reports B The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of all Business Meetings Executive Board Meetings and any Special Meetings She shall prepare for the President a copy of the meeting minutes at least ten days after said meeting She shall take attendance at each Club meeting and submit attendance sheets to reporting chairman each year by November She is also responsible for sending the meeting recap within one week of general meeting to ensure those not in attendance have ability to sign up for projects and are kept current on projects C The Treasurer shall collect all monies of the Club keeping an accurate record thereof She shall pay bills by check or electronic means She shall submit a Profit amp Loss Statement monthly to be included in the newsletter updates The Treasurerrsquos records shall be submitted for auditing by July 31st of each year and a report will be submitted to the membership at the next general meeting Section 6 Vacancies Any vacancy other than the President which occurs in any elected office shall be at the next General Meeting by nomination from the floor with a majority vote All vacancies in appointed positions shall be filled by appointment by the President Vacancy of the President will be filled by the 1st Vice President of Membership until a special election can be called to fill the vacancy ARTICLE V Meetings Section 1 Regular Meetings The club shall meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday from noon to 100 pm unless otherwise ordered by the Executive Board

ARTICLE VIII Parliamentary Authority The current edition of Robertrsquos Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern the proceedings of the club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with the bylaws or standing rules ARTICLE IX Amendments The bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting by a two-thirds vote of those present and voting provided the proposed amendments have been presented at the previous regular meeting or sent to the membership be letter or electronic transmission two weeks prior to the meeting at which they will be considered ARTICLE X Dissolution The object and purpose of the organization being entirely charitable no part of its earnings shall inure to the use or benefit of an individual In the event this organization should be dissolved for any reason any remaining assets shall be distributed to GFWC Florida Federation of Womenrsquos Clubs which this Club belongs as long as the Federation remains within the scope of IRS Section 501(c)(3) or any amendments thereto Approved February 18 2015

Standing Rules Approved 2182015

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

Section 2B

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

project This Fund shall be part of the Clubrsquos official budget

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

a motion to the Board and club members Specific amounts should be outlined in the

motion Amounts larger than $100 should be presented in the form of a motion to the

members at the next general meeting

6 All money from fund-raising events shall be submitted to Treasurer within 30 days of

the event unless otherwise specified

7 This Club shall refuse ads endorsements and all materials of a political nature

8 No solicitation of funds shall be made from assembled members without prior approval

of the Executive Board

9 No community events or other advertising will be permitted in the Club Newsletter

Exceptions will apply for fellow Junior and Womenrsquos Clubs as well as local non-profit

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

receive preference when attending service projects with attendance limitations

12 Each member shall be given a nametag and membership pin at the time of induction

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

13 Any fundraiser involving a member and or the Club must be presented to the board

in writing no later than one month prior to the event It must be approved by a majority

vote of the Executive Board before being presented to the Club

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

STANDING RULES

1 Ninety percent of the funds raised from the Clubrsquos major fundraiser must be set aside

for use during the next fiscal yearrsquos Club budget If profit is above the necessary

administrative expenses then that amount of the clubrsquos major fundraising event may be

donated during the current administration Any use of the funds must be approved by the

Board andor club members depending on amounts Refer to Article VI Executive Board

2 The procedure for how the proceeds from any other fundraiser benefitting one nonprofit

are as follows

A The chair of the fundraiser which proceeds will be donated in its entirety

during the current administration shall present a proposal to the Executive Board

B The Executive Board shall vote whether to accept or modify the proposal

C If the Board votes to modify the proposal a final decision on the allocation of

funds will be made by the Boardrsquos vote

3 Some or all of the proceeds from other fundraisers completed by chairmen andor

committees may be utilized during the current fiscal year if approved by the Executive

Board

4 There should be a Emergency Fund with a minimum of $500 maintained in the budget

to meet project start-up costs emergency expenditures and to provide capital for

fundraisers Funds needed to operate special projectsfundraisers can be borrowed from

the Emergency Fund but must be returned from project proceeds upon completion of

5 Any request to take money from the Emergency Fund must be presented in the form of

Club related activities by email phone and mail or by verbal communication

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

receive preference when attending service projects with attendance limitations

12 Each member shall be given a nametag and membership pin at the time of induction

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

13 Any fundraiser involving a member and or the Club must be presented to the board

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

10 The Membership Directory is for use only in connection with Womenrsquos Club of New

Tampa business Use of the Directory for solicitation is strictly prohibited and may result

in non-renewal of membership status This prohibition includes the solicitation of all non-

Club related activities by email phone and mail or by verbal communication

11 Guests of GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa members may attend one General

Meeting andor service project each club year Dues paying members of the club will

receive preference when attending service projects with attendance limitations

12 Each member shall be given a nametag and membership pin at the time of induction

into the Club If that tag is lost or the memberrsquos name needs to be changed the cost of

the new tag and member pin is the responsibility of the member

13 Any fundraiser involving a member and or the Club must be presented to the board

in writing no later than one month prior to the event It must be approved by a majority

vote of the Executive Board before being presented to the Club

1 GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of this club shall be the GFWC Womanrsquos Club of New Tampa Inc ARTICLE II Object The object of this club shall be civic charitable and educational This club shall promote the community service tradition of the General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) and the GFWC Florida Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC Florida) to which it belongs ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP Section 1 Admission Membership shall be open to all women who are at least eighteen (18) years of age who reside in the New Tampa area of Florida Application shall be made to the Membership Chairman and upon payment of the first year dues and majority vote of the Executive Board they shall become members Section 2 Dues A Annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer by May 31st of each year B The amount of the annual dues shall be Seventy-five ($75) Dollars which includes applicable GFWC and GFWC Florida per capita dues C Non-payment of dues by June 30th shall cause a member to be placed on probation Follow-up from Membership committee will occur If dues are not received by July 15 member shall be dropped from the roll ARTICLE IV Officers Section 1 Officers The officers of this Club shall be the President 1st VP of Membership Secretary and Treasurer Section 2 Eligibility To be eligible for office a member must be in good standing with the club Section 3 Elections A The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members one Board member who shall serve as Chairman and two additional members of the committee elected by the club B The Nominating Committee shall ascertain the willingness of a member to serve for each office and that the candidates are members in good standing C A member of the Nominating Committee may be a candidate for office D At the time of the election nominations may be made from the floor with the consent of the nominee If there is more than one (1) candidate for an office election shall be held by written ballot If there is only one candidate for each office election may be made by voice vote

Section 2 Special Meetings Special Meetings may be called by the President or by written request of three or more active members provided that all members have been notified These meetings can be by electronic means or conference phone calls Section 3 Quorum A quorum shall be 25 of the membership ARTICLE VI Executive Board Section 1 Definition The Executive Board shall consist of all duly elected officers of the club the Chairmen of Standing Committees and the immediate Past President acting as a director Section 2 Duties The executive board shall perform the duties prescribed by the bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by the club It shall be the duty of the executive board to A Hold monthly meetings at least one time a month prior to the general meetings This could occur one week prior to the regular meetings or one hour prior to the regular meetings B Attend to matters of business between meetings of the club and approve unbudgeted expenses of not more than $100 C Approve the application of new members presented by the membership chairman before induction ceremony D Prepare recommendations to be considered by the members at the next meeting Section 3 Quorum A quorum for the transaction of business shall be a majority of the members of the executive board ARTICLE VII Committees Section 1 Standing Committees The standing committees shall be as follows A Membership which shall promote membership growth and retention B Bylaws which shall consider proposed amendments for consideration C Finance which shall prepare a club budget to be approved by the membership D Fundraising which shall promote fundraising opportunities for the club members and for community projects E Reporting ChairmanCommittee shall collect reports and put together club activities in GFWC Florida Report due Feb 1 of each year F Other standing committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the organization Section 2 Special Committees Special committees may be appointed by the president as deemed necessary to carry out the work of the organization
