6006 al Sport “The angled grooves not only increase the tyres surface area, they allow the tread to move around, forcing heat in to the rubber to create grip. After a day on track and a road ride, the Maxxis tyre performed at least as well as Bridgestone BT-023s or Dunlop Roadsmarts yet do so at a saving of around £60.” Jon Urry, RiDE Magazine “The new diamond-tread shoulder design might appear an aesthetic gimmick, but Maxxis has proven it increases the tyres contact area by compressing the surface-proud diamond shapes into the ground and squidging the rubber out to create a bigger footprint. The Supermaxx Diamond gave me nothing but consistent grip and feel around the drenched Portimao track. What impressed me was just how much grip was available. I had the bike decking out through the corners while the tyres took all the abuse I could throw at them.” Bruce Wilson, Motorcycle Monthly “The new Maxxis just felt like any other good road tyre on the road. High-speed straight and banked stability was excellent, turn in neutral and progressive. I didn't notice any sensation of movement from the diamond-treaded tread edges either like we had under the more extreme loadings on the race track. Put simply, I road like a bit of a twunt, rode steadily and rode everywhere in between those two extremes and didn't notice the tyres at all. What more do you want from a tyre (apart from good mileage)? Don't turn your nose up at these tyres out of some kind of weird (and misplaced) tyre prejudice. Give them a try. Seeing as they're roughly 20% cheaper than the bigger brands, you could probably afford to do just that...” Mark Forsyth, Visordown “I spent a full day ragging around Portimao (a tough circuit for any tyre), digging pegs into the abrasive surface on a variety of bikes, and generally riding like a loon once I’d acclimatised to their unique approach and feel and I’m still standing. We also got the opportunity to give them a thrash on the roads; some dusty, some covered in gravel and again I live to tell the tale with absolutely no sign of any issues. We could ride as we liked without any worries regarding grip: seeing as this is where they’ll mostly live, it’s a big win for Maxxis.” Benjamin Kubas Cronin, Fast Bikes “From day one the tyres felt right on the bike, one element which stood out was how the tread / grip of the tyres allowed more flexibility and control when negotiating corners and bends, with no cause to question their ability to hold the road no matter what the road surface or weather conditions. Over three months, more than 4,000 miles were travelled throughout the UK before undertaking a twelve-day, 2,500 mile, heavily laden tour of Italy with a pillion. Travelling though France, Germany and Switzerland, taking in the challenging roads of the Gotthard and St. Bernard passes, a rain drenched A1 Autostrada and the grin inducing twisting bends of the Chianti Road in Tuscany in 30˚C heat, the tyres performed faultlessly.” John “Geraint”Hughes, Tour manager, MCi Tours Former police advanced motorcyclist, BikeSafe presenter and current motorcycle examiner with the IAM. Maxxis has developed the M6029 Supermaxx

Touring tyre using Virtual Intelligent Prototyping and

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – the most advanced

computer technology.

FEA is used to ensure even load distribution between

cornering and straight-line performance. This

identifies the stress/load conditions that the tyre will

be used under, ensuring that even distribution of load

is achieved at maximum stress levels under force, whilst

achieving a fast and controlled response.

The Supermaxx Touring has a distinctive profile and

tread pattern which creates responsive handling and

stability for quick and precise cornering. The

revolutionary radial construction uses Kevlar® belts to

ensure tyre uniformity at high speeds.

“My perception of Maxxis was fourth

division – but the lap time is

Premiership. Slightly heavier on the

steering, but stability is better than

most of the others. The Supermaxx

Touring have a very shallow, rounded

profile, the most extreme in the test,

which makes them slower to turn-in

but what you lose in agility you gain in

stability – they’re one of the most

secure-feeling on test.”

“It’s a big ask to expect any sports-touring tyre to handle the stresses of a fast and technically demanding track like Portimao, Portugal, but the Supermaxx Diamonds performed very well. The overall grip level front and rear is impressive and they’re stable under hard braking and acceleration. As you lean onto the diamond tread pattern you can feel the tyre ‘moving’ slightly and you don’t get the solid feeling of a ‘normal’ tyre. But once you’re used to this sensation it’s fine.”

Michael Neeves, Motorcycle News

“As a racer, I look for a lot of feedback from my tyres. And that’s what the Supermaxx Diamonds deliver. I found the Maxxis very competent, informative and confidence inspiring. I’m very impressed with their performance. I’d definitely fit them to my road bike.”

applications without compromising handling or

performance.

Gary Mason,MSS Colchester Kawasaki BSB Rider

“The angled grooves not only increase the tyres surface area, they allow the tread to move around, forcing heat in to the rubber to create grip. After a day on track and a road ride, the Maxxis tyre performed at least as well as Bridgestone BT-023s or Dunlop Roadsmarts yet do so at a saving of around £60.”

Jon Urry, RiDE Magazine

“The new diamond-tread shoulder design might appear an aesthetic gimmick, but Maxxis has proven it increases the tyres contact area by compressing the surface-proud diamond shapes into the ground and squidging the rubber out to create a bigger footprint. The Supermaxx Diamond gave me nothing but consistent grip and feel around the drenched Portimao track. What impressed me was just how much grip was available. I had the bike decking out through the corners while the tyres took all the abuse I couldthrow at them.”

Bruce Wilson, Motorcycle Monthly

“The new Maxxis just felt like any other good road tyre on the road. Seeing as they're roughly 20% cheaper than the bigger brands, you could probably afford to do just that...”

Mark Forsyth, Visordown

“I spent a full day ragging around Portimao (a tough circuit for any tyre), digging pegs into the abrasive surface on a variety of bikes, and generally riding like a loon once I’d acclimatised to their unique approach and feel and I’m still standing. We also got the opportunity to give them a thrash on the roads; some dusty, some covered in gravel and again I live to tell the tale with absolutely no sign of any issues. We could ride as we liked without any worries regarding grip: seeing as this is where they’ll mostly live, it’s a big win for Maxxis.”

Benjamin Kubas Cronin, Fast Bikes

“From day one the tyres felt right on the bike, one element which stood out was how the tread / grip of the tyres allowed more flexibility and control when negotiating corners and bends, with no cause to question their ability to hold the road no matter what the road surface or weather conditions. Over three months, more than 4,000 miles were travelled throughout the UK before undertaking a twelve-day, 2,500 mile, heavily laden tour of Italy with a pillion. Travelling though France, Germany and Switzerland, taking in the challenging roads of the Gotthard and St. Bernard passes, a rain drenched A1 Autostrada and the grin inducing twisting bends of the Chianti Road in Tuscany in 30˚C heat, the tyres performed faultlessly.”

Maxxis introduces its uprated high-performance sport

bike tyre to its product line-up – the next generation

Supermaxx Sport. It features an advanced tread

pattern and distinct, angular profile to allow quick,

precise and responsive handling.

The silica compound, formulated for optimum traction

in dry and wet conditions, allows for cooler running

temperatures and maximum grip for road or track-day

use. The revolutionary radial carcass uses monospiral

Kevlar® construction to maintain tyre uniformity at

high speeds.

All combined, the uprated Supermaxx Sport is a sport

bike tyre with track day performance.

“Maxxis were a mere 0.6 seconds slower

than the OE tyres – a difference of less than

1% on tyres that are 30% apart on price”

Guy Martin, Performance Bikes

“Their lower operating temperature

means they hook up and take the worry

out of wet riding – bloody impressive”

Chris Newbigging, Motorcycle News

“The Supermaxx Sports didn’t move or

slide, even on Sulby Straight at 187 mph,

the Maxxis tyres were rock steady”
