FlierDescription:I was given the task to design a black and white ier to promote a graduateleadership conference.

Process:My rst step was to create several dierent sketches to decided which layout wouldlook best. I then used my sketch as a guide to create my ier in Abode InDesign. Iused repeating black bars to add repetition and contrast to my design. I created anatural diagonal line by cropping my picture and using an image where the modelshand stretched upward. These two things helped to create a ow. I grouped text

of related information together to have proximity. I made sure to align everythingwith something. I aligned my text to the left to help give it a more professional look.I left plenty of white space for easy viewing and kept my body copy small. For thisassignment, I was given the logo, content and image to create my ier.

Objectives:Apply the design principles and use appropriate typographyIncorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic ier layoutCreate a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links intact

Web PageDescription:For this project, I designed a web page to showcase my logo.

Process:To design this particular web page, I used only TextWrangler. Thisprocess was a little intimidating at rst because I had never designeda web page before. I was completely new to HTML/CSS. It wasfascinating to see how the two worked so perfectly together.

After I entered all my information into my HTML, I connected it withthe pre-made CSS le. Once the two were linked together, I then madechanges to the HEX colors and the font families to match my logo.Lastly, I used my designed skills to make sure my space was the sameall the way around. I changed the padding around my logo and some ofthe text.

Overall, this project was challenging and very meticulous, but it is askill set I will be able to take into the work force. You never know whenyoull have to design a web page.

    Objectives:

Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web pageDesign a web page using HTML to display the logo and contentAcquire a working knowledge of HTMLAcquire a working knowledge of CSSIdentify hex colors for web designCompress multiple les in a zippedfolder to attach as one le
