Martha Lauren Ousley passed away June 6, 2020, at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, AR. Martha was born June 23, 1952, in Tucson, AZ, to Jack and Beverly Barker. The family moved to Lincoln, AR in 1956. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. She lived in Arkansas, Utah, Germany, California, Arkansas, California and back to Arkansas during her life, always considering Lincoln as her ‘home’. She was a Legal Secretary and worked for many lawyers in Arkansas and California. Family was the most important thing in the world for Martha. Her greatest joy was having family get-togethers, and she could turn any day into a family reunion. For example; the release of a Star Wars movie on DVD would cause her to invite her kids, grandkids, and anyone else interested to the house to watch it. She loved getting together with her siblings to talk about the families, and share stories. Even small things, like having one of her grandchildren call and just talk about what was happening in school, brought her extreme happiness. She had a love of animals that was unending. Her pets were always a part of the family, at one point having 7 dogs, a cat, and she still wanted to save more. Football was Martha’s second love. She was always happy during football season, where she would watch the games all day on Sunday, the Monday night game, the Thursday game, and repeat it all over again the next Sunday. She enjoyed it the most when she could watch the games with her kids. For her, one of the simplest joys was watching a Pittsburg Steelers Game with James, Richard, and Kelly, and any number of the grandkids who were there, all decked out in their Steelers gear. Martha is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Ousley; three children, James Maberry, Richard Maberry, and Kelly Maberry; two step daughters, Candace Parker and her husband Eric, and Cassandra Ousley; seven grandchildren, Brittney Maberry, Ashley Kirk, Jenna Maberry, Korbin Parker, Suriana Ousley, Wesley Parker and William Wiedenhoeft; two great grandchildren, Ryder Kirk and Abilene Kirk; Unofficially adopted daughter Gina Ljubec; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; her brother Norman Barker; and four sisters, Beverly Bottoms, Cheryl Farris, Wendy Baker, and Cindy Archer.
