    Greetings parents!

    The cold chill of February

has come to an end, and

it is already time to wel-

    come March into the

    school year.

    Our month, which was

    spend around the theme

    of love and friendship,

    has wrapped up. We

    enjoyed spending Valen-

    tines Day together and

    talking about what it

    means to love someone

or how to be a good

    friend. We also spent

    some time with our Big

    Buddies from the grade

    four class, who we get

    together with a couple

    times a month!

    If there is ever anything

you need to speak to me

    about, my door is always

    open! Feel free to won-

der in at the end of the

    day, and have your child

    show you what they

    were busy working on!

I appreciate the time that some of you take to browse through our classroom blog! A goal of mine

this month is to keep up with a new post every day.

I am going to post a form inside the classroom, and collect your email addresses. This way, when

I write a new post you will be notified in your email. Then its just a matter of clicking and reading.I figured this would maybe remind some of us that this tool to communicate about your childs day

is out there and available to you.

Also, remember that you can com-ment on any post you would like, butyou just need to quickly create an ac-count. If you would like some helpwith this, just let me know after

school one day and Ill do it with you.

In the near future I would like to setup a laptop outside of the classroomwith our class blog being displayed. While waiting for your child to comeout at the end of the day, you couldread through the blog post and seewhat we have been up to. I hope toget this up and going within the next

    week. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Brows our class webpage and sing some songs together that we have been learning in class

Together on the computer, go to the kids corner of ourclassroom webpage and play some of the theme related

    games for the month

Re-create a story book together of a Nursery Rhyme

they know, or create your own story

Bring a Nursery Rhyme story to life by creating a cos-tume for the characters. You can be a character from

    the story too!

Read a Nursery Rhyme story about food, and then create a meal together. For example: youcould read Humpty Dumpty, and boil eggs together. Have your child help peel them and enjoy

    the snack together!

come dressed up as charactersfrom that story. I encourageyou to dress up as well, so we

are all in it together :)

I hope that you all can make itout for the afternoon, so we can

    enjoy each others company!

On Friday March 11th we willbe having a Family Day at theschool. The theme of thismonth is Nursery Rhymes, so

our day will be based aroundthat.

With your child, I ask that youpick a Nursery Rhyme and

    Humpty Dumpty What You Do:

Ask your child to decorate the oval shape provided into

Humpty Dumpty by adding legs, arms, facial features and usingany materials available. Its important to let children explore

while doing art, and allow them to use their imagination.

Sometimes we can be set on something looking a certain way,but there is nothing wrong with exploring. If they want

Humpty Dumpty to have three legsthen so be it! He hasthree legs. You can help your child grow by asking them ques-

tions about their art, and simply inquiring.

    Materials you will need:

Paper, coloring supplies, glues, and scrap material

Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the bed

This is a classic bed timestory! With this book youcan do finger-plays withyour child, and have themcount out the five littlemonkeys on their fingers. We do it in class, and Im

sure theyd love it at home!
