In the past 2 years, we have a seen a great increase in the amount of patronage Larsen Cooperative has been able to distribute because of its connection with CHS Inc. The final numbers are in for fiscal year 2014.

At the November annual meeting, Todd Reif, General Manager, announced a record earn-ings of $5.2 million locally at Larsen. CHS Inc. had another successful year and added another million which increased our total earnings to $6.2 million. Get Pumped ForMARCH 1-20, 2015

CHS Harvest for Hunger

Larsen Cooperative is all “Pumped up” for this year’s CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign. Each year Country Operations, such as Larsen Coop-

erative, and CHS Inc. team up to collect food, monetary and grain donations to help keep local food pantry shelves stocked.

Last year more than $512,000 and 443,000 pounds of food went to hungry families across the nation. More than 50 CHS business units and more than 4,000 employees participated in the 2014 Harvest for Hunger drive. Since the program’s launch in 2011, more than $1.6 million and 2.1 million pounds of food have been raised. Locally, CHS Larsen Cooperative raised $15,000 and over 4,800 pounds of food which stayed in the communities in which we reside.

CHS Larsen Cooperative is proud to participate again in the 2015 Harvest for Hunger campaign running March 1-20, 2015. On March 13th, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Larsen employees will be at each of our gas stations at Wild Rose C-store, New London Travel Plaza, and Larsen Country store, providing a full service pump and serving lunch. They will be collecting tips for pumping gas, washing windshields, etc., as well as serving a full meal for $5 and a bake sale for those with a sweet tooth! We hope you are able to attend this fun event and help us get “Pumped up” about helping our local communities in stocking shelves for those families in need.

If you are unable to attend our full service pumping day, we will also be collecting donations at all facility locations March 1-20. Non-perishable food items, monetary and grain donations will be accept-ed. You can also bring your donations to the Agronomy Round Robin and Early Seed Pick Up Days in New London. You will see 100% of the proceeds stay local in our surrounding area food pantries. CHS Country Operations will also be matching a portion of the donations raised. Please help us make this year’s CHS Harvest for Hunger another successful year. Let’s fight hunger together!
