Overview:For over 10 years Manuplas have been leading designers and manufacturers of bespoke fendering systems,

constructed from high performance physically cross-linked polyethylene foam and sprayed in a polyurethane

elastomer skin. Sprayed fenders can be applied to the side of a vessel, or the bow.

Bow fenders can be manufactured and installed as a single piece or as a series of multiple modules to suit the

specific vessel. Popular applications of Manuplas sprayed fender systems include wind farm support vessels, work

boats, pilot boats, lifeboats and patrol boats.

Fender Service:Manuplas’ Bow Fenders have many benefits:

Considerably lighter (up to 60% compared to traditional rubber D fenders),

improving both speed and fuel consumption of vessels.

Highly impact absorbent with the ability to withstand the harsh offshore

environment, allowing safe access to turbines.

Very high abrasion resistance as a result of in-house development of a bespoke outer coating.

A virtually non-marking external finish.

Sprayed Boat Fendering

+

+

+

+

Fender Design:Flexibility on the shape, size and technical specification of the fendering enables Manuplas to find a solution for

specific vessels without the need to invest in mould tooling.

A tailored solution for each boat’s characteristics can be designed and manufactured. Anti-slip surface coating

and a selection of fendering colours can be offered.

Testing & Analysis:We have the ability to validate new designs and test performance by a combination of prototype testing and

finite element analysis.

Fender Test Rig Capabilities:Manuplas are able to test and evaluate the performance of fendering products.

Manuplas can provide data on: Fender compression strength, Performance under a sustained load, Fatigue

analysis by repeated compression.

resistance to mooring chains, ropes and cables. Tow-Tectors are available in a range of diameters and lengths to suit the

application and can be supplied as a one-piece sleeve or a two-piece bolt together assembly for retro fitting. Differing

external geometries can be provided for instance to limit rolling or meet other challenges in use. These products may

be used in conjunction with Manuplas polyurethane clamps to secure to the mooring system in use.

Features:One-piece or two-piece options.

Range of diameters, length and external geometries.

High performance moulded polyurethane elastomer.
