ICS 214Unit Log
• There are two good reasons for using the ICS 214:– It’s required– It’ll be very useful later
ICS 214Unit Log
• All Units must fill out the ICS 214 daily
• It becomes part of the documentation package
• If something happens, it is a record documenting your part of it– Complaining landowners– Difficult operators
ICS 214Unit Log
Useful to help you remember:• When someone started working for you (shift tickets,
evaluations)• When you provided direction or instructions for project
implementation to an operator or tech spec• When you first made contact with a member of the public• What you agreed to do for a particular landowner• When you finished a particular project• When you moved equipment from one project to another
– This will tell you how long certain projects took to accomplish
• When you discovered or were advised of repair needs
