Back-up systemIFIC Bank has setup the largest and modern data center and online synchronized DRS ( data recovery site) in Bangladesh to safeguard the customers interest. All the Information of clients and related all data are stored in three server.Main server, branch used server, backup server.IFIC Bank uses mainframe computer to store data.Among the software installations were the core banking software, internet banking software, sms and alert banking software, database and operating software.

Input/output device policy

Unsupervised usages of pots on laptops and PCs leads to data pilferage, virus contamination etc.To stop this; IFIC Bank recommends user policy for input-output devices

E-mail policy

Several rules and regulations are applied to ensure a smooth functioning of the email services provided to the employees of IFIC Bank Limited. These rules are meticulously maintained and monitored in such a way that users are unable to violate any rules. Some rules are Any attachment must be scanned before opening E-mail accounts should not be used for online registration process, No harassment should be done etc.

Criticism of Information System

IFIC uses high range software but skilled technicians are not available in Bangladesh.For any kind of software problem bank has to contact with a software company which located in other country. Which hampers the banking system.The network frequency in Bangladesh is not good. Some time it dose networks.Fiber optical is not fully operated in Bangladesh. So sometimes the server does not work.If the server does not work the ATM network is stopped.

Information system is very important .we feel much delight and relief upon successful accomplishment and communication engineering, the experience of our task at IFIC Bank , has documenting of our experiment on this highly acclaimed IS topic, in a resourceful environment. IT has helped the banking industry to deal with the challenges the new economy poses. More than most other industries, financial institutions rely on gathering, processing, analysing, and providing information in order to meet the needs of customers.Technology has opened up new markets, new products, new services and efficient delivery channels for the banking industry.
