Common Core Technology Project Plan (CCTPP)
VISION: Our mission is focused on the rights of our youth to gain an education that prepares them for success. In order to honor these rights we are transforming teaching and learning within LAUSD. The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are a starting point for transforming the way we practice the art of teaching. In order to support the transition to the CCSS and provide a more personalized learning environment for our students, we must leverage the latest technology in our schools. Our goal is to provide an individualized, inter-active, and information rich educational experience by:
Providing educators with tools (tablets) to advance student learning and create learning spaces that are designed to increase learner engagement
Supporting the CCSS implementation by providing all students with the opportunity to engage with digital curriculum, interactive supports and adaptive assessments
Closing the “Digital Divide” by ensuring all students have access to 21st century skills and technology
SCOPE: Provide the devices, wireless infrastructure, and support necessary to facilitate personalized learning based on the CCSS
