Look At Credit Used

I used the title sequence of ‘Casino Royale’ to get an idea of credits used in a title sequence and in what order they come in, and therefore will apply this to our production.

The first thing that comes up is the name of production company ‘Eon Productions LTD’ this may encourage the audience to carry on watching or even attracting audiences due to the companies previous productions.

The next title sequence that comes up is the one which credits the actors, and the first person to be credited is ‘Daniel Craig’ this shows that he is playing the lead role as he is the first person to be credited.

The next title to come up is showing who Daniel Craig plays in the production. The fact his name and who he plays in the productions suggests to the audience that he is the lead role and the most important actor in the production.

After this, it then shows the name of the production ‘Casino Royale’.

Then after this it goes on the name other supporting actors and actresses, with one name per screen (showing importance in production).

The next one to appear (once all the more important actors have been shown in their screen) has three actors per screen, which suggests to the audience that they will not have an as important/lead role in the film.

However after these actors have been shown and one more actor with a lead role is show, ‘Judi Dench’

Next it moves onto producers of production, camera operators, costume designers, sound recorders, visual affects managers etc. The more important people here are mentioned again later on in the sequence.

Once this is all shown, more important people to do with the production are mentioned, for example the editor who we can see is important due to him having his own screen.

The sequence then goes on to mention music producers and credits the song they used in the sequence. (Song – ‘You Know My Name’)

Next to be mentioned is executive producers which have a screen between the two of them which suggests they are still important, just not as much as others.

The next credit is the person who inspired the film, who has his own side to himself showing his importance.

Then, it shows screenplay and the two producers who both share a slide between the two of them, however they are shown very near to the end of the credits suggesting their importance.

Finally, the last person to be mentioned is the director, who has his own screen and his name is shown next to the lead characters face, these factors show his importance in terms of the production.
