GCSS-MC (TEMP LOAN GPN 2-11)
• Pre-Exercise – Unit providing Temp-Loan will retain ownership w/in the GCSS-MC Install Base along with CMR, RO’s and AO’s
information.
– In the Install Base, the issuing unit will add sub-custody party information of RO taking possession of equipment. A ‘start-date’ relationship of the sub-custody will be added and equipment will be re-assigned to loaner.
MAGTF RO’s need to be identified for all gear (45 Days prior to download).
– BIC will open a SR to capture the JLTI process and the ‘problem summary’ should read ‘ JLTI for Temp Loan’. The DODAAC of the receiving unit will be identified to include RO’s contact information.
– Once JLTI is completed, the SR will be closed.
• Post-Exercise– UNITS RECEIVING TEMP-LOANED EQUIPMENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURNING EQUIPMENT IN A SERVICEABLE
CONDITION, TO INCLUDE ANY MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF SL-3 COMPONENTS.
– The using unit will open a SR to capture the JLTI process and the ‘problem summary’ should read JLTI RETURN FROM TEMP LOAN' TO MXXXXX. Once JLTI is completed, the SR will be closed by the using unit.
– BIC will execute and END DATE SUB-CUSTODY PARTY RELATIONSHIP in the GCSS-MC Install Base and update the item status.

GCSS-MC (RECORDS MANAGEMENT)
• GPN 4-12– GCSS-MC retains all historical data, meaning that equipment record jackets (i.e. 696d’s) are no longer required.
– Gun Books will be issued and maintained ISO applicable Ordnance assets.
– MAGTF required to captured equipment maintenance and supply requisitioning information in GCSS-MC.
• Equipment records and forms issued ISO exercise assets.
– Local record folder
– SL-3 Extract Records
– LTI form
– Gun Books
– Keys (when applicable)
• End-Of-Ship Reports (USNS ??????)– SL-3 Deficiency Report

PREPOSITIONING POLICY
• Publications– Equipment operators and maintenance manuals
are not embarked aboard ship.
• Shelf-Life– Material must have at least 24 months remaining
at time of sail.
