An Open validation Ecosystem built on top of a real energy grid

- Real infrastructure, Real Population, On real-time usage data

- Offers a mixture of Lab experimentation, Field testing and UX validation

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is synonym of “excellence” in the energy research area. 13 Nobel prizes are associated with this lab. 60 of their researches are members of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

One of the largest energy companies, present in the entire value chain: exploration and production, transformation, development and commercialization of efficient, sustainable and competitive energy.

One of the most prestigious academic institutions in Europe and worldwide. specially relevant in the AI and Computer Science field, where the university ranks 33 in the Shanghai world index, 7 in Europe and 1 in Spain. It has 3 of the top 10 worldwide most cited researchers in AI.

Our vision

Enable the grid of the future today for innovators to be able to develop the business models and technologies of

tomorrow

To achieve CO2 emission reduction commitments, Spain needs a renewable penetration between 20% to 32% by 2030. This will involved the following:

A - Spain is expected to deploy between 45 to 55 Gigawatts of centralized renewable power infrastructure, which means, to duplicate its capacity in a decade

B - There must be more than 1M self-consumption installations. Of them, it’s expected that around 900k will be residential, individual or communities

C - An Electric vehicle market penetration between 4 to 6 millions EV cars across the country. This will involve an EV charger network of more than 100k units.
