The LINKS ,which has been open for play since November 2002, now offers Belle Mare PlageThe Resort a second 18-hole golf course which differs greatly from the first.

The name Links, was inspired by the rolling undulating fairways. At 5942 metres, this par 71 course finishes with it’s signature holethe 18th. An undulating fairway, bordered by turquoise waters. TheClub house offers a bar and all the expected facilities, including abeautiful practice fairway overlooking the hills of the Mauritianlandscape. Like its twin, The Legend, it offers a golf academy withlessons and coaching on the course from professional andqualified instructors. Use of Club cars is obligatory. The course was designed by Peter ALLISS and Rodney WRIGHT.Peter ALLISS

HOLE 1 360 mts Par 4A gentle opening hole with a stunning panoramic view.

The tee shot should be placed on the left side of the fairwayto leave a mid iron second shot to a slightly elevated green.

HOLE 2 512 mts Par 5A double dogleg, which will offer the big hitter a chance to

reach the green in two shots, if he decides to take on thechallenge of a blind shot over a volcanic outcrop.

The safe way will be to lay up at the corner of the seconddogleg leaving a pitch into the green.

HOLE 3 342 mts Par 4Slight dogleg left. After a drive to a generous landing area the

player is faced with a second shot across water. The first hole to be played into the prevailing wind.

HOLE 4 312 mts Par 4The fourth runs the same direction as the 3rd and the second

shot is played steeply uphill to a raised green.Always take one club more than you think !

HOLE 5 370 mts Par 4A gentle dogleg left, where the drive should be placed to the

right of the fairway to leave an easier second shot with amiddle iron.

HOLE 6 504 mts Par 5Dog leg left to a green protected by volcanic outcrops.

HOLE 7 127 mts Par 3First of the par three’s, this is a short iron played to a green cut

into the natural rocky landscape.

HOLE 8 340 mts Par 4This is a medium length dogleg right, the drive must be kept

to the left side of the fairway to give a clear shot into thegreen.

HOLE 9 146 mts Par 3Second of the par three’s and one which plays much longer

than it’s length as the hole is straight up hill. One of the trickiest greens on the course with three levels.

HOLE 10 518 mts Par 5The start of the back nine is a long downhill par five, the ballmust be strategically placed after the second shot to allowaccess to a welcoming green which slopes from back to front.

HOLE 11 146 mts Par 3First of the par three’s with water. The lake winds it’s way upthe left side of the green to catch any ball slightly hooked.A large green which offers some fiendish pin positions.

HOLE 12 414 mts Par 4One of the toughest holes on the course, a good drive isneeded to clear the uphill portion of the fairway. The second shot must avoid the water on the right and thelarge tree guarding the left side of the green.

HOLE 13 360 mts Par 4A good drive to a generous fairway will leave a mid iron to agreen surrounded on three sides by water.

HOLE 14 135 mts Par 3The last of the short holes has water short and right of thegreen. Played into the prevailing wind this could be a cardwrecker.

HOLE 15 354 mts Par 4An almost straight par four which offers views of the Lagoonon the left hand side. An undulating green will protect par.

HOLE 16 355 mts Par 4This severe dogleg right deserves it stroke rating of 2. Thedrive must be long and true to the left side of the fairway toafford a view of the green. Anything less than perfect willleave a blind second shot over a valley to the green.

HOLE 17 285 mts Par 4A hole the big hitters may want to drive but any ball keft ofthe green will be severly penalised. The sensible play is to theright of the fairway bunker leaving a pitch to the green.

HOLE 18 362 mts Par 4A semi blind tee shot should be left of center to leave a clearsecond shot over water to the home green which is situatednext to an old lime kiln. A par four here will take you happilyon the clubhouse and 19th hole.
