Why are we here?
New: LibGuides Service Description
The goal of LibGuides is to supplement the libraries web-presence with a learner focused website, which connects the learner to resources and services that match their learning objective.

• Will be turned over to the Web Team for management

1. Copy your new URL2. Log into LG13. Go to your guide4. Guide settings > Change Guide
Information > Advanced Settings5. Paste new URL into “Redirect URL”6. Click “Save”

Your Guides
User Access• All users will continue to access
guides through the LG1 interface for at least the fall semester.
• Some of the guides might be in LG1
• Some of the guides might be in LG2
Content Waves
• Wave 1: Databases and Subjects
• Wave 2: Guides clearly meet service definition
• Wave 3: Subject Homepages
• Wave 4: Additional LG2 content still in LG1
• Wave 5: Return to rest of LG1 content
Content Phasing: Wave 4 and 5Return to Remaining LG1 Content
• Not all content will be in LG2• All content needs a home • There is no value statement placed within being in
Wave 2. Not everything can happen at once. • Project be undertaken by the Web Governance
Team w/ LG Team and L&O• Co-curricular / non-curricular instructional content
is high priority to investigate further (wave 4)• All content will remain accessible through LG1
Wave 2• For a guide to be eligible for Wave 2, the guide
needs to meet the definition of the new service.
• Determined by content audit conducted by the LibGuides Team
• Any class guide is eligible
• Unpublished guides were not considered. Recreate with caution. Garages/Warehouses are fine.
Wave 2• New Guides!– Please start using LG 2 for new guides
Specifically, YOUR guides• Handout of inventory of all your guides• Will indicate which wave each guide is
planned to be addressed.– If not in Wave 2, there will be a note why.
• Unpublished guides were not reviewed. • For most cases, private guides are not
appropriate in LG2.• Garage/Warehouse guides welcome.
