Quito, March 25 th , 2015 Dear Sir/Madam. Regarding to the recent advertisement for the position on the business segment of OG-DS Drilling & Surface at General Electrics, I would like to be considered for this vacancy. I have sent my CV for reviewing attached to this letter. Since the position on field services requires a well-trained technical/engineer professional, I am confident that I can make a substantial contribution to the company, as I have developed a strong background in Mechanical Engineering. After I got my Bachelor’s degree, I have had the opportunity to work in a testing materials Laboratory, where I closely worked with the industrial sector of Ecuador, mainly with Oil and Gas companies, performing works in a laboratory as well as in-situ, such as characterizing materials, supervising pipelines construction, among others. I have fully met all my duties working under pressure with multi-disciplinary workgroups. As part of a programme for prospective students leaded by the Government of Ecuador, I was awarded with a fully funded scholarship to continue my academic career in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester, where I obtained a Master’s degree awarded with distinction. This experience allowed me to improve my academic background, gathering theoretical and practical knowledge. I addition, I have developed writing and oral communication skills in English with classmates, colleges and academic staff. After finishing the Master’s programme, it is my duty to work in the development of the industrial potential in my country, and I find this position as a great opportunity for me to be able to start a career in such a prestigious company as it is General Electrics. I hope that my CV be evaluated and I would be enthusiastic to have an opportunity to have an interview in order to know more about the activities that the company is doing in Ecuador, as well as its future plans and goals and how I may contribute to its continued success. Yours sincerely, Luis Gilmour Andrade Acosta

Quito, March 25th, 2015

Dear Sir/Madam.

Regarding to the recent advertisement for the position on the business segment of OG-DS Drilling

& Surface at General Electrics, I would like to be considered for this vacancy. I have sent my CV for

reviewing attached to this letter.

Since the position on field services requires a well-trained technical/engineer professional, I am

confident that I can make a substantial contribution to the company, as I have developed a strong

background in Mechanical Engineering. After I got my Bachelor’s degree, I have had the opportunity

to work in a testing materials Laboratory, where I closely worked with the industrial sector of

Ecuador, mainly with Oil and Gas companies, performing works in a laboratory as well as in-situ,

such as characterizing materials, supervising pipelines construction, among others. I have fully met

all my duties working under pressure with multi-disciplinary workgroups.

As part of a programme for prospective students leaded by the Government of Ecuador, I was

awarded with a fully funded scholarship to continue my academic career in Mechanical Engineering

at the University of Manchester, where I obtained a Master’s degree awarded with distinction. This

experience allowed me to improve my academic background, gathering theoretical and practical

knowledge. I addition, I have developed writing and oral communication skills in English with

classmates, colleges and academic staff.

After finishing the Master’s programme, it is my duty to work in the development of the industrial

potential in my country, and I find this position as a great opportunity for me to be able to start a

career in such a prestigious company as it is General Electrics. I hope that my CV be evaluated and I

would be enthusiastic to have an opportunity to have an interview in order to know more about the

activities that the company is doing in Ecuador, as well as its future plans and goals and how I may

contribute to its continued success.

Yours sincerely,
