Therefore, it is crucial that the foundation of the brand is developed to focus on these values while creating a compelling, relevant, and consistent brand.

Big Red Design Agency believes that the foundation of any successful brand development strategy must look at all the finer details, from what thebrand colours “say” to the tone of the copywriting and how it “speaks” to the customers brand experience. Each strategy is meticulously designedin conjunction with the client. For example, the building of the client’s brand identity starts with the logo concept. To honour our clients’ values, wecreate the pantones for the brand. In this example, these were maroon and yellow, chosen specifically to communicate strength, passion, and afocus on safety.

Cabwash is a full-service car wash and car valet company with a successful network of carwash services in KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape. Big Red Design Agency was brought on board to handle the Facebook page management, branding, and online campaigns. The starting point for this client was to rebrand the company logo and establish a strong visual identity for the brand. The rebrand was followed by an online awareness campaign and a competition that saw an engagement increase of *271% when compared to previous competitions of the same nature.

Part of the strategy for the client was to increase the page’s fans with specific attention to only targeting fans within the geographic locations of the client’s carwashes. The strategy was a success with follower growth increasing by 1, 704% over a 3-month period. There was also a notable increase in business to the various car washes.

Our commitment to seeing the lives of those less fortunate uplifted goes above and beyond with our involvement in the Trans Africa Adventure. Trans Africa Adventure saw Big Red Design Agency’s Founder and Creative Director, Anthony Kirkwood, cycling a gruelling 1200km over 11 stages from Knysna to Hillcrest to fundraise and support Ingane Yami Children’s Home.

A total of R1,2 million was raised for Ingane Yami Children’s Home.

As part of Big Red Design Agency’s annual support for Nelson Mandela Day and 67 Minutes, we incorporate partnerships with well-known graffiti artists, such as Gasak, to raise funds to feed street-children across Durban, KZN. Our theme, “Be Inspired by Greatness,” mobilises our team, suppliers, and community as a whole in aid of a common cause - to see our community uplifted.

Big Red Design Agency’s partnership with Durban University of Technology’s Public Relations Department sees our Agency working closely with the Department to develop and mentor up-and-coming students. Our passion to work with, develop, and create experiences for these students, has seen Big Red Design Agency working on numerous projects in conjunction with the Department. These include presenting at various workshops, taking on students for “on-the-job” training, and even mentoring.

To assist in the conservation and protection of our white and black rhino’s, Big Red Design Agency is in proud partnership with Project Rhino. Project Rhino is an NGO that facilitates conservation interventions aimed at eliminating rhino poaching while securing the white and black rhino populations.
