NAME:…………………………….. Film Poster Evaluation Sheet 1. What is the name of your film? The name of my film is called Dark Angel. 2. What is the genre of your film? The genre of my film is Horror (Survival Horror). 3. Who is the chosen target audience of your film poster? The target audience for my film poster is for teenagers and adults, both male and female. 4. How did you make your poster appeal to this group of people (for example, through the use of colour, actors, text, layout, film title) I made my poster appeal to teenagers and young adults by adding colours that look scary and intriguing. Colours such as dark and shallow. I also added an image that will persuade people to actually look into the film and wonder what the film may be about. However I designed my film in a way that it is new fashioned and what most people would want to watch. I added a background that looks like a pathway to doom so people think about what might be happening in the film. Moreover I created my film title with a different type of font that would catch the audience’s eyes so it’s appealing. 5. What are you most pleased with about your poster? I am pleased with my image because it looks very eye catching and very striking which also makes the whole poster look noticeable. 6. How could your poster have looked more professional? NAME:……………………………..Extension 1 – Not enough people are going to see your film. You must now create a new poster aimed at a different target audience group. Explain how this second poster would be different to the first, and why.

This second poster’s genre is going to be about romance which is a whole major difference to the genre that is horror. It is going to be targeted at young teenagers and also young adults. It’s going to be different because horror is more about killings and deaths whereas this film about romance is the whole opposite that is about love and not death, but futures and families.

Extension 2 – Now create this second poster using Microsoft Publisher.
