PRODUCT HANDBOOK
malleable
Maygas® is malleable. The changes of direction and surpasses are solved without accessories or unions, just by curving the pipe. Therefore, no elbows
nor surpassing curves are used, which
makes the installation job easier.
Less unions.
Less fittings.
Fast & safer.
malleable
Maygas® is a new multilayer pipe composed by polyethylene –aluminum-
polyethylene (Pe-Al-Pe) with differentiating characteristics which place it above
all known.
The aluminum provides its metallic characteristics: exceptional malleability, inalterable
mechanic resistance, low coefficient of lineal dilatation, structural rigidity and easy to detect.
The polyethylene provides great flexibility, illimited resistance to corrosion, low thermal conductivity,
impermeability, low internal superficial rugosity, low weight, prolonged lifespan, and
also, it enables and guarantees the perfect molecular fusion between the
pipe and the wide range of accessories of the system.
Maygas® is unique in the world.
Maygas® has no elastic memory,
that is why it maintains the
shapes set by the installer.
The curving is achieved by
cold bending by using a
plastic pipe bender which
is introduced inside the pipe.
This makes it easy to obtain
curves of different angles and radios
quickly, without any risk whatsoever of
narrowing or strangling the pipe.
Perfect liningThe malleability allows for the
formation of curves, for
correcting angles
and compensating
small longitudinal
differences due to
errors in cutting.
The fusion eliminates leaks in unions.
Today there is no method of union capable
of offering an equivalent level of safetness.
Maygas® is thermofusion. Double thermofusion.
fusion
Maygas® limits the losses of localized
loads, shortens installation time and
greatly reduces the costs of hand labor.
Maygas® makes it easy to obtain
perfect lining of all the elements in an
installation. To correct the position, just
introduce an element to lever and turn
the thermally fused piece to the desired
position.

Use the adjusting screw to regulate the pressure of the jaws, if the pipe is adjusted slightly it will slide upwards in the expansion, if it is adjusted too much, it will not be possible to lower the lever A.
Expand the pipe by closing levers B. Check that all the head is inside the pipe.
3
6
Only use a saw and a guide to ensure perpendicularity. To avoid edges, the saw blade must have 32 teeth.
Open levers B and lift lever A. Withdraw expanded pipe.
7
Pull out the retractable bolt and insert the jaws into the guide with the notch of the bolt facing up.
Close the clamps lowering lever A.

5
Use a Pipe Cutter. First make a cut on the surface of the pipe and with a little round movement obtain a perfect cut.
Using a flat screwdriver, fix the head to the tool using the slotted screw.
Lift the lever of the clamps (A). Open the expansion levers (B). Introduce the pipe inside the expansion head until it is positioned.

Both putting inappropriate pressure to the clamps (step 3) and not positioning the pipe correctly (step 4) shorten incorrectly the section of the expanded pipe.
The adjustment pressure of the clamps must be controlled with the adjustment screw and lock nut for the pipe to be perfectly secured upon expansion.
Diameter of pipes 16 to 25 mm. Diameter of pipes 32 mm.The cut of the pipe must be perpendicular to its axis.
The first step is to condition the expansion tool to the diameter of the pipe.
When inserting the pipe, the testifier ring makes contact with the face and separates the bushing.
15
To make the union easy and fast, it is convenient to put the bushing in the expanding end of the pipe and complete the insertion by pressing it against the hand palm.
11 13
After the minimum warming time stated in chart 2, withdraw both ends from the faces and join them together, leaving between 1 and 2 mm of visible expanded pipe, without worrying about the posi-tion of the testifier ring. Let it cool for at least 2 minutes.
16
Place the heating faces on the thermofu-sor, adjusting them with an Allen wrench. Plug the thermofusor into the electric cu-rrent (the red light will come on).
Introduce the correctly expanded pipe in the male face and the testifier bushing in the female face, holding them firmly perpendicular to the thermofusor surface. Both are to be introduced to the right position.
98
With the thermofusor on, insert the pipe-bushing set in the female face. The accessory is introduced up to the bottom/ end of the male face.
14
The thermofusor can be used when the machine is in operation. That is, when the green light has been turned on at least once.
After the time indicated in chart 1, withdraw them from the faces and join them together.

Installation instructions
The flat base of the Maygas thermofusor enables its direct support on the floor. To fix the thermofusor use the support provided.
The Maygas thermofusor plate allows you to place the necessary heating faces to work with two pipe diameters in a simulated way.
In the second thermofusion, the slot of the female face allows to control the depth of insertion of the pipe-bushing set.
Do not exceed the outer edge of the
slotted face.
Never fuse the pipe to the accessory without
having fused the testifier bushing.

Very important:The warming times set in the chart are the minimum recommended ones.
When the environment temperature is under 10ºC, the minimum warming times should be increased by 50%.

The bending is done in cold by introducing a pipe bender of the diameter corresponding to the pipe to be curved. This way you can make curves of different angles and radius without the slightest risk of narrowing or constricting the tube. The pipe bender comes in two lengths, 3 and 10 meters. To facilitate the extraction of the pipe bender when you have to make several curves in long stretches, it is recommended to begin with the bending of the more distant end, and to remove the pipe bender after making each curve.
It is important that the pipe bender is clean so as not to damage the inside of the tube.
