What can Armley Mills do for you? Interested in the industrial heritage of Leeds? At Armley Mills we have textile machinery to locomotives and a working 1920’s cinema. We regularly run one off visits or more long term projects with local schools on topics ranging from the industrial revolution, working conditions and changes in labour laws, engineering and manufacture, photography, cinema, the history of the woollen industry, fashion design and other textile projects. Want more information? Contact: Cara Jardine or Sarah Barton on 0113 2244368

Want to look at animal skeletons? 1950s fashion or an 18th century corset? Come to the Discovery Centre—a treasure trove of goodies, and no glass!

Fashion goes round and round at Lotherton Hall! Revival is an annual project aimed at Textile and Art and Design students. As designers, students are set a brief to produce one-off pieces inspired by our collections. Winners of the competition then have their piece displayed in the costume exhibition for the year. Lotherton Hall is a great venue to be inspired and take influence from our eclectic collection of decorative arts, textiles, fine art, furniture and ceramics. We can provide half or full day visits. For more information, contact: Dee Matthews on 0113 281 3259 Stop Press…! The world’s a stage… Why not bring your theatre studies or creative arts groups to Temple Newsam House and utilise these amazing interiors to develop dance, movement, stories and poetry?
