New Prospects Association

Between a rock and a hard place – the unwanted innovators...

The voluntary sector Advocacy Consultancy Charitable funding sometimes wasted on buffets... But it felt good!

We are striving to be; •Honest •Flexible •Responsive •Different Perhaps our organisational approach could be described really simply as;

“Get the right people in the right roles. Let them be MAGNIFICENT.

Clear the c%*p out of the way” From How to Make Your Employees feel Like Superheroes – By Patti

Azzarelo

...or as much as it is legally possible to clear!

The reassuringly expensive burden of regulation

Myth 1 – We are just in it for the money....

Myth 2 – Providers can’t plan

We do it all of the time...............I’ll challenge any of you to a ‘plan off!’

Myth 3 – Providers are not ready for personalisation

Here’s what’s wrong with Bob - he needs 52.5 hours per week and 7 sleep ins.......

Come along to the beauty contest and he’ll choose someone.

We’ve been ready for ages.......

Self Directed Support, Personal Budgets, Individual Service Funds, individual Service Design and a whole host of other innovations, designed, implemented, proved and carried out by providers.

“Where’s your annual house work checklist? You’ve got a weekly one.... Those providers aren’t very creative are they?”

The secret to a happy life is a clean kitchen floor...

Freddie would rather be in the studio...

So trust the people close to people! •People themselves •Their families •Their friends •Even their providers •Let people decide what’s important to them (not many will mention a clean kitchen floor)

Regulate by all means... but don’t stifle the capacity to innovate... Regulating just once would be good!
