Lomeli has over twenty-five years of teaching experience, over ten years in the martial arts, and years of community involvement: youth mentoring programs [MANA's Hermanitas project], police community relations support, and precint walking. Irene Armenta DesGeorges nace y se cría en Cananea, Sonora, México, centro minero y cuna de la Revolución Mexicana. Su adolescencia la pasa en Baja California y su edad adulta, mayor- mente en San Diego California. Antonieta Villamil is a bilingual poet, cultural activist and performer from Colombia, author of 7 books and winner of the Gastón Baquero award in 2002. Villamil combines song to poetry. She weaves to the poem, rhythms from Middle-East, Spain and Africa, to the voices of Latino-African and Indigenous women of America.
