The main and subspindle are two electrospindles with a bar capacity of ø 2 toø 16 mm. The maximum spindle speed is 12 000 rpm.Both spindles are equipped with a liquid system of cooling and the tempera-ture is automatically controled continuously.

The clamping power setting ismade by the nut (1).The blocking screw (2) hold theposition of this nut.

The machine is equipped with 2 racks with 4 fixedtoolholder positions. Each tool is fixed in a car-tridge for external tool (12 × 12 mm). This quick change cartridge allows the setting oftools out of the machine and reduces the downtime due to tool replacement.

For internal machining, the cuttingtools are installed on a toolholder blockwith 6 stations (boring ø 16 mm). Thisblock occupies two positions on rackand allows simultaneous operations incenter on both spindles.

A part catcher programable by ‘M’ function receives the finishedpart ejected from the sub spindle. Then, the parts slips into a drawer on the right side of the machine. The chips are sepa-rated from the coolant and evacuated into large tank on the rightside of the machine.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

The maximum speed for the two lateral spind-les is 8 000 rpm.The central spindle speed is reduced down to2 600 rpm to increase torque during millingoperations.
