Event spacesKittyhawk is available to be hired seven days a week although we never allow the entire bar to be booked out during our normal trading hours. We have spaces to suit groups of 2-350. For Fridays, the latest booking we accept in the main Kittyhawk space (i.e. the Lounge and Conservatory) is 5.30pm.

This is our relaxation space. Sit back and relax and let us do all the work for you. The lounge is run on tabs and table service and seats groups of 2–45 (seated events only). This space also features our Cockpit, which can comfortably seat 10 people. There is no minimum spend, room hire or service charge.

Soak up all the sun’s rays in this beautiful spot by the windows. If it’s a sunny day, we can open the windows so you feel the breeze. This space is suitable for groups of 17 – 70 people. A minimum spend and 5% staff gratuity will apply.

For speedy service, you will be assigned your own section of the bar although table service can be organised in some circumstances. The low brass tables can also be replaced with cocktail tables, if your group would prefer to stand and mingle.

Food and beverage offeringDRINKS

Drinks are what we do best at Kittyhawk. While our focus is on rum and rye, we do stock all other major spirits and our cocktails run the gamut from originals, proven, experimental and new and pretty much any classic you can think of. We also have a large variety of wines as well as both draught and bottled beer, cider and, of course, an extensive champagne list.

When it comes to deciding what your guests should drink, you may choose to go with one of our drinks packages or just pay based on consumption, with or without limitations on what your guests can order.

At Kittyhawk, we are first and foremost a great cocktail bar but why can’t a great cocktail bar serve great food?

Our standard food menu is contemporary French and has been put together by our Executive Chef, Liam Driscoll who also created the menu for our sister venue, Big Poppa’s. Our food is designed as smaller dishes to share and enjoy whilst drinking.

We also have a canapes menu that is well suited to functions. We can cater to most dietary requirements with a substantial offering for vegetarians as well as gluten and dairy free diets.

Some additional options to consider when planning your event:

• A grazing table instead of table service so your guests can pick and choose their food at their leisure

• A cheese and charcuterie table

• A champagne table

Terms and conditionsEVENTS WITH NO MIN SPEND REQUIRED

To secure a booking of 20 pax and over where there is no minimum spend, we will ask you to complete an event holding form. This form states that, in the event that you no show or cancel within 5 business days, you authorise us to debit your card $500 to cover lost revenue due to your cancellation.

EVENTS WITH MIN SPEND REQUIRED

To secure a booking with a minimum spend and/or canapes, we ask for a deposit (25% - 50%, depending on the space) or payment for canapes up front, whichever of the two is largest. If you need time to decide on the canapes, we will take the deposit and then issue an additional invoice down the track if the canapes order exceeds this amount.

• If outside two weeks of the booking, your deposit invoice has three day terms. Please pay within this timeframe and send a remittance (or confirm via email), otherwise, we reserve the right to release the booking and offer it to other applicants

• If inside two weeks of your event, your invoice is to be paid ASAP. Your booking will not be considered confirmed until a remittance has been sent or payment is processed via credit card and we reserve the right to offer the space to other applicants until payment has been made

• In both cases, we will notify you if someone else has requested your date and you will have 24 hours to respond.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• For the Conservatory, any cancellation 14 or more days prior to the booking, a full refund of the deposit will be made. For The Officers’ Mess, any cancellation 4 or more weeks prior to the booking, a full refund of the deposit will be made

• Any cancellation inside of this time and the deposit becomes non-refundable.
