Karbala In Hadith Of Masoomeen (A.S.)

The incidence of Karbala has been fore-told in the Ahadith of Masoomeen

(A.s.), before the event took place.

    1. Lamentation Of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.s.)

    Imam Baqir (A.s.) said:

Amirul Mu'mineen (A.s.), along with two of his companions, happened to pass

by Kerbala and as he did so, tears filled his eyes.

He said (to them), "This is the resting place of their animals; and this is where

their luggage shall be laid down; and it is here that their blood shall be shed.

Blessed are you O' Earth, that the blood of the beloved shall be spilled uponyou."

Bihar al Anwar, Vol: 98 pg. 258.

    2. Lamentation of Janabe Fatema Zehra (S.a.)

It has been narrated in few books of trustworthy contemporaries that:

When Prophet Muhammad (Saww) informed her daughter Fatima (Sa) about

the killing of her son Husain (as) and the tribulations that will fall upon him,Fatima (sa) started to cry and cried severely and said, O Father, when will it

    happen?

Prophet Muhammad (saww) replied, In the time in which I, You and Ali (as)

    will not be there.

(Hearing this) She cried more severely and said, O Father, who will cry over

him? And who will be committed to establish Azadari for him?

Prophet Muhammad (Saww) said, O Fatema (Sa), (will create a nation tomourn on us) verily the women of my nation will cry over the women of my

AhleBait (as), the men of my nation will cry over the men of my AhleBait (as).

And will continue/renew the Azadari generation after generation every year.

And on the day of Qayamat, You intercede for the women and I will intercede

for the men. And all those from amongst them who wept over the suffering ofHusain (as), will take them by their hand and enter them in heaven.

O Fatema (sa), Every eye will cry on the day of Qayamt, except for the eye

    Imam Husain (A.s.) & yazid (L.a.)

The events of Karbala reflects the collision of the light of Allah (S.w.t.) versus

the darkness of the devil, good versus the evil, the virtuous versus the wicked, the collision ofImam Husain

(A.s.) (the head of virtue) versus Yazid

    (L.a.) (the

    head of impiety).

As the representative of his grandfather Prophet Muhammad (S.a.w.w.), Imam

Husain(A.s.)s main concern was to safeguard Wilayat of Ahlulbait (A.s.),

protect the Holy Quran and guide the whole of mankind.

When Yazid (L.a.) son of Mu'awiya (L.a.) declared himself as a ruler over the

Ummah, he demandedImam Al-Husain's (A.s.) allegiance of loyalty. Imam

Husain(A.s.) who was the divinely appointed Imam and the representative ofAllah (S.w.t.) on earth on his part flatly rejected Yazid (L.a.)'s rule. But Yazid

(L.a.), the tyrant ruler over the Ummah, was adamant in his demand, and

tension between the two parties increased day by day.

Imam Husain (A.s.) was quick to realize that giving allegiance of loyalty to

Yazid (L.a.) would mean death of Islam and an end to the mission of the Holy

Prophet (S.a.w.w.).Gambling, drinking wine and other vices which were the

favorite pass time of Yazid (L.a.) would have been a part of religion and there

would have been hardly any one on earth who would have remembered Allah(S.w.t.), The Hol Prophet and Ahlulbait (A.s.)

    Classwork:

    Fill in the blanks:

    Islam.

    Why The Sacrifice ?

Now, a question over here is that what was the difference in the religion which

Yazid (L.a.) and his group followed and that which was followed by Imam

Husain (A.s.) and his followers?. Yazid (L.a.)s group also apparently believed

in the Oneness of Allah (S.w.t.), the Messengership of the Holy Prophet(S.a.w.w.), used to pray namaz, used to fast, perform Haj etc, so why the fight?.

The answer to this question is that the difference in both the groups was their

disagreement on the greatest news i.e. The Masster ship of Hazrat Ali (A.s.).

which is the foundation of faith.

Imam Hussain (A.s.) and his followers were the believers in the Mastership of

Hazrat Ali (A.s.), while Yazid (L.a.) and his followers were those who wanted

to eradicate this message from the surface of the earth, demolish the foundationof faith and destroy the entire religion.

Thus Imam Husain (A.s.) who was the rightful successor of Hazrat Ali (A.s.)

wanted to move away from Medina to avoid any fight. But Yazeed (L.a.) wasadamant in securing his allegiance. He had ordered his men either to secure

allegiance or to kill Imam Husain (A.s.).

Thus Imam Husain (A.s.) was forced to fight Yazid (L.a.) to protect themessage of Ghadeer (i.e. the Wilayat Of Hazrat Ali (A.s.)), to protect the hard

work of all the prophets, to protect the mission of the Holy Prophet (S.a.w.) and

to protect the Oneness of Allah (S.w.t.).

He did not care about the consequences because for him the message of

Ghadeer (i.e. Wilayat of Hazrat Ali (A.s.)), the mission of the Holy Prophet

(S.a.w.w.) and the Oneness of Allah (S.w.t.) were more important than his life,

the life of his children and the life of his companions.

In short it can be summarized that the greatest sacrifice (events of Karbala) took

place to protect the greatest news (Wilayat of Hazrat Ali (A.s.)).

    Before Karbala

Imam Husain (A.s.) sent his cousin Muslim Bin Aqeel (A.s.) to Kufa as his

messenger to access the situation over there. On reaching there with the help

of Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi and Hani Ibn Urwah continued to hold secret meetings

with the supporters of the Imam (A.s.). Within a short time the gatheringsstarted to gain momentum and thousands pledged their support to Imam Husain

    (A.s.).

Muslim Bin Aqeel (A.s.) informed Imam Husain (A.s.) that the people of Kufa

were ready to support him and asked him to advance to Kufa.

Yazid (L.a.) through his spies and informants learned about Muslim's successes

in Kufa. He appointed the tyrant Ubaidullah Ibn Ziyad (L.a.) as Governor of

Kufa. Ubaidullah Ibn Ziyad (L.a.) threatened the people and told them towithdraw their support to Muslim Bin Aqeel (A.s.).

Gradually and slowly people started moving away from Mulim Bin Aqeel (A.s.)

and one day he was left alone on the streets of Kufa with none to support him.The cowards of Kufa had deserted him and eventually Muslim Bin Aqeel (A.s.)

was captured by Ubaidullah Ibn Ziyad (L.a.) and killed in cold blood with his

lifeless body being dragged in the streets of Kufa and later on hung on the main

    gate of the city.

Meanwhile, as Al-Husain (A.s.)'s caravan got closer to its destination (Kufa),

coming to a place called Zubalah, Imam Husain (A.s.) received a shocking

news. The shocking news was about Muslim Ibn Aqeel and the person who

provided him shelter, Hani's Ibn Urwah, both of whom were arrested and

beheaded by the Governor Ibn Ziyad (L.a.). Mukhtar was also arrested and

imprisoned and tortured by Ibn Ziyad (L.a.).

    Towards Karbala

Imam Husain (A.s.) continued with the journey along with close companions

and family members until he was face to face with thousands of horsemen led

byHur al-Riyahi representing the enemy. The enemy army blocked the camps

of Imam Husain (A.s.) from advancing.

Tension started to rise between the two. The Imam (A.s.) addressed the enemy

explaining to them his motives for going to Kufa, that it was in response to the

invitation of the people. He even showed them a bagful of letters he received

from Kufa. Hur said that he and his men were not the writers of those letters.

Imam (A.s.) told them that if they did not like him to advance with the journey,

he was prepared to return to Hijaz. Hur replied, "We are commissioned to

follow you until we take you to Governor Ibn Ziyad (L.a.), and suggested to theImam to go towards a station which is neither Kufa nor Medina." Imam Husain

(A.s.) found the proposal fair and turned the caravan away from Kufa. Hur and

his army marched parallel to the Imam (A.s.) till Hur received a message from

Ibn Ziyad (L.a.) to force Imam Husain (A.s.) to halt in an open space, without

    vegetation or water.

Imam, his family and companions defiantly resumed their journey and reached a

place where another enemy force blocked their move and forced them to stop.

When Imam Husain (A.s.) learned that the place was calledKarbala

, he felt hereached the destination and ordered his camp to be setup. That day was 2nd ofMuharram, Hijri 61. Upon learning that his army had succeeded to lay a siege

around the Imam's camp, Governor Ibn Ziyad (L.a.) sent additional military

    The Glow Of Faith

Ibn Sa'ad laid a blockade around the camp of Imam Husain (A.s.) to cut it off

from access to the river Euphrates, to deprive it of water in a move to force

    them to surrender.

Imam Husain (A.s.) opened a dialogue with Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) and

convinced him to lift the siege so that the Imam (A.s.) with his family and

    companions could leave Iraq.

Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) liked the Imam's proposal and sent a message to governorIbn Ziyad (L.a.) notifying him about the results of the talks with Imam Husain

(a.s.). Ibn Ziyad also found the Imam's proposal acceptable. However before

agreeing to it officially, Shimr Bin Dhil-Jawshan (L.a.), opposed it strongly.

As a result Ziyad wrote a letter to Umar Ibn Sa'ad commanding him to either go

to war with Imam Husain (A.s.) or be relieved of his duties as commander of

the army and Shimr (L.a.) would not only replace him but despatch Ibn Sa'ad's

    (L.a.) head to Kufa.

Umar Ibn bin Sa'ad (L.a.) got the letter. After pondering over the consequences

he decided to fight Imam Husain (A.s.). On the 7th day of Muharram he moved

his troops closer to the camp and began to surround the Husaini (A.s.) camp.

Till now the little available water in the camp had exhausted and the familymembers of Imam Husain (A.s.) had to go thirsty. Small children, infants andeven Imam Husain (A.s.)s small baby Aliasgar (A.s.) who was barely six

months old was now without water.

Though they were away from home, without food and water for many days now

and were surrounded by enemies who was waiting to kill them, their facesshone brightly with the glow of faith. It is noteworthy that in spite of extreme

hardships and sever calamities none of the family members of Imam Husain

(A.s.) ever asked him to make a compromise with Yazid (L.a.).

Such was their faith that they were ready to face extreme conditions and evensacrifice their lives but were not ready to compromise on the mission of Imam

    Husain (A.s.).

    Start Of The Battle

Two days later, (on the 9th of Muharram), the enemy's military forces closed in

on the camp of Imam Husain (A.s.). Imam asked his brother, Abbas (A.s.), to

talk to Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) and request a delay of the aggression by one night. Umar

Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) agreed to the demand. He ordered his troops to delay theaggression till next morning. Imam Husain (A.s.) and his pious companions

    spent that night in prayers.

During the night the Imam told the companions, " ....the enemy is interested in

none but me, me alone. I'll be most delighted to permit each and every one ofyou to go back, and I urge you to do so...."

All companions screamed in response, "By Allah (S.w.t.), never, never! We will

either live with you or die together with you." Finally, the day of Ashuraadawned upon the soil of Karbala. It was the day when Jihad would be in full

bloom, blood would be shed, 72 innocent lives would be sacrificed, and a

decisive battle would be won to save the message of the Mastership of Hazrat

Ali (A.s.), thus saving Islam and the Ummah.

It had been a few days since the water supply was cut off by the enemy.

Children were crying for water, the women were desperate for water, Zainul-

Abideen (A.s.), the son of Imam Husain (A.s.) was sick with fever. The

suffering from the thirst was too painful to bear. And despite this, not a singleperson in the camp made any complaints or even questioned the mission ofImam Husain (A.s.). Each member supported the Imam (A.s.) wholeheartedly

    and enthusiastically.

Next morning Imam Husain (A.s.) went out of the camp and saw Umar Ibn

Sa'ad mobilizing his troops to start the hostility. He stared at the intimidating

army, and as large as it was Imam Husain showed no signs of compromise.

Imam Husain raised his hands in prayer:

"O Allah (S.w.t.)! It is Thee in whom I trust amid all grief. You are my hopeamid all violence. Thou are my refuge and provision in everything that happensto me. How many grievances weaken the heart, leaving me with no means to

handle them, during which friend deserts me, and enemy rejoices in it. I lay it

before Thee and complain of it to Thee, because of my desire in Thee, Thee

alone. You relieve me of it and remove it from me. Thou are the Master of all

Grace, the Essence of Goodness, and the Ultimate Resort of all Desire."

Before the actual engagement was to take place, Hur, the previous commander

of the enemy force, felt his conscience violently stirring, he was in turmoil.Upon realizing his folly , he suddenly broke away from Umar Ibn Sa'ad's camp

(along with two others). They rushed toward Imam Husain (A.s.) to join his

    19

camp. They rushed from Hell to Heaven, from everlasting curses to everlasting

bliss. Hur's heart was jumping with joy, his mind relieved of an agonizing

tension. Hur's defection worried Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) very much, lest others do

the same and defect. So Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) threw an arrow in the air to

indicate the start of the battle. This was the outset of a catastrophe and a tragic

event that Mu'awiya (L.a.) had once conceived to happen.

    The Battle

Imam Husain (A.s.)'s supporters insisted on being the first to fight. Therefore,

they took the brunt of the enemy attack. The battle was ferocious. Within a short

time the Imam's supporters slay a large number of the enemy fighters, they wereon the offensive and the enemy on the defensive. This caused apprehension and

confusion in the enemy military, the 72 of Husain(A.s.)'s against an

overwhelming enemy being on the defensive. So worried and nervous, the

enemy commander-in-chief ordered his army not only to set fire to the Imam

(A.s.)'s tents (which were occupied mostly by frightened females and children),

but at the same time reinforced his fighters with more troops.

The valiant fighters began to fall, they were men of valor welcoming

martyrdom, they fell one after another, for the enemy was overwhelming innumber. By noon time the Imam stopped the fight to perform the Salat. By thistime those left were mainly his family and a few supporters. They performed the

Salat together. The enemy soldiers kept on shooting arrows on the small group

of worshipers, two supporters were guarding the performers of Salat, taking the

arrows shot by the enemies on their chests and bodies. When Salat was finished

one of the guards fell dead; there were 17 arrows in his chest.

After the companions were martyred the Bani Hashim (A.s.) sacrificed their

lives. Janab E zainab (S.a.0 requested his brother Imam Husain (a.s.) to allow

his sons Aun (A.s.) and Mohammed (A.s.) to be allowed to go to the battle

field. They were all in their teens but each stood bravely, believing in the

mission, facing a formidable enemy, and showed no less enthusiasm in theirquest to defend Imam Husain (A.s.). Both the children fought very bravely,

salying many enemy commanders, but in the end how long would two children

who were thirsty and dehydrated would fight and overwhelming enemy. Both of

    them were brutally killed.

After Aun (A.s) and Mohammed (A.s.) Hazrat Qasim (A.s.) who was upset

since morning as his name was not announced by hazrat Ima Husain (a.s.) whenhe read the list of martyrs, remembered a tawaiz which his fathe Imam Hasan

(a.s.) had tied on his hand when he (Imam Hasan (A.s.)) departed from thisworld. On opening the tawiz he found in it a letter from his father addressed

to his brother (Imam Husain (A.s.)) requesting him to gie permission to Janabe

Qasim (A.s.) on the day of Ashura. Janabe Qasim (A.s.) thus got permission to

go to the battle field and eventually sacrificed his life for Imam Husain (A.s.).

Abbas (A.s.) the flag bearer of Imam Husain (A.s.) who himself was a one man

army tried to obtain permission to fight, but Imam Husain (A.s.) did not allowhim to go to the battle field, but instead asked him to arrange for water for the

children. Janabe Sakina (S.a.) gave a water bag to Hazrat Abbas (A.s.) and he

went toward the river to bring some water for the thirsty children. While he was

returning on his horse with the water, he was attacked by a large horde of the

enemy, overwhelming and severely wounding him. As much as he tried Abbas

(A.s.) could not save the water, he fell from his horse to breath his last. We still

see the water bag hanging from the Alam of Hazrat Abbas (A.s.) even today.

Ali Akbar (A.s.), Husain's son obtained permission to fight and dashed toward

the enemy. He engaged them in fierce fighting, falling on them like thunder,

slaying numerous fighters. He continued to move forward, deep inside the

enemy. The enemy was overpowering in number, it overwhelmed him cutting

him with swords and spears, and his body became nothing but wounds gushing

blood, until he died. Imam Husain (A.s.) rushed to the area and picked up the

wounded body and brought it to the appalled camp.

    Al-Husain And His Baby

By the afternoon 70 brave persons had sacrificed their lives in Karbala to save

Islam. All had fought under nerve racking conditions, severe thirst, dehydration,

exhaustion, and agonizing feeling of what would happen to the family of theProphet (S.a.w.w.) afterwards. Imam Husain (A.s.) endured all that and more,

for he saw all his beloved ones brutally cut to pieces, including children.

Remaining the only one, Imam Husain (A.s.) was to face the enemy head on. Hemounted on his horse and said, is there anyone to help me ???. Angels

Prophets and Jins came forward to help but Imam Husain (A.s.) did no take

their help. Precisely at that moment Imam Husain (A.s.) heard his baby crying

incessantly, agonizing apparently because of the thirst, but in fact this cry was

in response to Imam Husain (A.s.) call for help. Imam Husain (A.s.)'s love forhis family was unbound, especially for a suffering baby. He held the six monthsold baby, his youngest son (Ali Asghar (A.s.)) in his arms, and appealed to the

enemy fighters for some water for the baby.

Imam wanted to awaken their conscience and stir their human feelings but the

stone-hearted enemy, instead of giving water, the tyrant Hurmala (L.a.) zoomed

a 3 headed arrow (which was normally used to slaughter camels) toward the

agonizing baby and killed him instantly. Imam Husain (A.s.) was shocked. He

felt an unbearable wave of pain. The sight of the limp baby in his arms was

    agonizingly painful.

He filled his palm with the blood of the baby, and tried to put in on the ground

but the ground feared to accept it telling that if a single drop of this blood

spilled on the ground then no food will grow on the earth till the day of

Qaiyamat. Imam Husain (A.s.) then tried to throw it upwards toward the sky,but the sky too feared to accept it telling that if a single drop of this blood came

towards the sky then there would be no rain till the day of Qaiyamat. Imam

Husain (A.s.) rubbed the blood of the innocent baby on his face and prayed to

    Allah (Swt),

"O' Allah, O' my Lord! My consolation is the fact that Thou in Thine Majesty

are witnessing what I am going through."

Imam Husain (A.s.) was alone, one man against an overwhelming army. Hetook them on, fighting them bravely, and kept fighting, receiving many wounds

in the process. Thousands of enemy fighters were surrounding him but none

dared to move toward him. The silence was broken when the tyrant Shimr (L.a.)

screamed for an attack, then screamed again, threatening, and in response they

attacked collectively, and one sword fell on Imam Husain (A.s.)'s left wrist and

deeply cut his left hand. The blood gushed like a fountain. Another sword was

    23

soon to follow and it hit his upper back. Imam Husain (A.s.) fell to the ground,

    bleeding profusely.

It was at this point, that Shimr (L.a.) whose mother was a disbeliever, came

forward and severed Imam Husain (A.s.)'s noble head from the body, the noble

head kissed often by the Prophet (S.a.w.w.)! Shimr (L.a.) and others had theaudacity to carry it on the tip of a spear to Yazid (L.a.), 600 miles away!

Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) ordered the horsemen to trample upon the supine bodiesof Imam Husain (A.s.) and all others killed, to disfigure them even further, as if

the wounds, the bloodied bodies, and the headless forms were not enough.

For three days the exposed bodies of the martyrs were left lying in the desert of

Karbala. Afterwards, the people of the tribe of Bani-Asad, who were not faraway from the battle field, helped bury them.

Umar Ibn Sa'ad (L.a.) and his forces (representing Benu Umayya) took the

women and children as prisoners in shackles, put them on camels, and

proceeded in a caravan from Karbala to Kufa. At the forefront of the procession

were the heads of Imam Husain (A.s.) and his followers on the tip of spears.

The scene was both grotesque and pathetic. This was the leftover of the beloved

family of Prophet Muhammad (S.a.w.w.), in such a deplorable unimaginable

condition, all caused by people who called themselves Muslims!

Crying And Wailing For Imam Hussain (As)

Islam is a religion based on nature. Wailing or weeping is the innate instinct of a

human being. A newborn child starts his life crying. Weeping is not prohibited

in any religion or creed of the world. Tears are automatically shed when a manis confronted by any physical, mental or spiritual mishap, and tears are not only

the sign of grief but also a kind of reimbursement for that grief. Now in whose

grief does a newborn child weep? Thats the question, which can be answered

by the one who remembers his own weeping when he was born. It is said, that

when Adam (as) was sent to this earth from heaven, he wept on that migration

in separation from the Noor of Allah (S.w.t.) and hence every child of Adam

(As), weeps when he opens his eyes in this world. If this is true, then this reason

for wailing certainly supports our point of view that in the grief of a departure, wailing is a natural habit.

    Lamenting From the Holy Quran:

The earth and sky shed no tears for the Dhalimeen (oppressors)

In the Holy Quran Allah (swt) refers to the drowning of Pharaoh and his army

    as follows:

Yusufali 44:29] And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite

    (again).

This Holy verse proves that crying over the unjust is not permissible but those

who are just and have been treated unfairly can be cried and lamented over.

The verse refers the manner in which the rebellious Pharaoh was punished byAllah (Swt) and he and his army was drowned. No one felt aggrieved and no

    one mourned their death.

The verse stipulates that the earth and the sky did not weep at the death ofPharaoh, so clearly there exist scenarios wherein the earth and skies do indeed

cry. We can conclude from this that when a rebel is punished no one is to cryover them, conversely, it is a desirable act to cry over someones hardships

particularly those inflicted on pious people.

Allah (Swt)s reference to the sky and the earth is to stress the grandeur of these

two places. It means that due to Pharaohs character no one mourned over his

death. It is clear from this verse that mourning is specified for the pious and not

    for the evil .

    26/32

    26

This verse proves that there are certain people in the world upon whom the

heaven and earth weep, that is why Allah (Swt) refers to the people of Pharaoh

who were not from amongst those people who are cried upon by the heaven and

the earth, but they are some other dear creatures of Allah (s.w.t.). And who can

be more near to Allah (S.w.t) than Hazrat Imam Husain (A.s.) and who can be

more oppressed than the grandson of the Holy Prophet (S.a.w.w.).

    Tafseer Of The Above Verse:

    Ibrahim Al Nakhai narrates:

The Commander of the Believers (as) came out and sat in the mosque and his

companions gathered around him. Then Imam Husain (as) came and stood in

    front of him.

The Commander of the Believers (as) placed his hand over the head of Husain(as) and said:

    O My Son! Allah (S.w.t.) has degraded some people in the Quran by saying;

neither did the heavens weep over them, nor the earth, nor were they grantedrespite (44:29). I swear to Allah that they will kill you after me and then the

heavens and the earth will weep over you.

    as follows:

Yusufali 44:29] And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite

    (again).

In the tafseef of the above verse Mir Ahmed Ali states that.

History relates instances of signs of extra ordinary manifesting in the Heavens

and fresh blood being found under each stone that was removed from the earth

on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (A.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.).

According to Sahi Muslim, when Husain (A.s.) was martyred at Karbala the

heavens wept by getting blood red.

It should be noted that the heavens and the earth do not move a millimeter

without the command of Allah (s.w.t.). Now when the heavens and earth shed

blood it was as per the orders of Allah (S.w.t).

When the heavens and earth who do not have blood can shed blood then why

cant we we have a heart which beats 72 times in a minute in rememberance of

    the 72 martyrs of Karbla.

    12. Allah (S.w.t.) sheds the blood of Ibrahim (A.s.) for Imam Husain (A.s.)

Once Ibrahim (As) while riding his horse came over the land of Karbala and

suddenly his horse fell and Ibrahim (as) fell on his head and blood was shed

from his head. He (Ibrahim) started asking for forgiveness and said, My Allah

(Swt) what thing that brought this to me?

Jibraeel descended to him and said, O Ibrahim this is not because of your sin.

But here will be killed the son of the last of the Prophets (Saww) and the son of

the last of the Guardians and so your blood be shed like his (Imam Husain (as))

    blood willbe shed.

Ibrahim (as) said, O Jibraeel who is his killer?

Jibraeel said, The One who is cursed by those in the heavens and the earths and

pen wrote Lanat (against his name) without seeking permission from Allah

(swt). And then Allah (Swt) revealed to the pen that you deserve praise for this

    curse that you wrote.

Then Ibrahim (Ss) raised his said many curses on Yazid (L.a.) and the horse of

Ibrahim (As) said Amin in an eloquent tone.

Ibrahim (as) asked his horse, What is that you know that you say Amin onmy dua (curses).

The horse replied, O Ibrahim (As) I am very proud on being your carrier. And

when I fell you also fell from my back and I felt very ashamed and the reason

for all this is on Yazid (L.a.), curse of Allah (S.w.t.) be upon him.

['Source: Bihar Al Anwar Vol. 44 Pg.243]

It should be noted that Allah (S.w.t.) wished that the blood of Ibrahim (A.s.) be

shed for Imam Husain (A.s.) even before his martyrdom. This clearly showsthat shedding blood for Imam Husain (A.s.) is the wish of Allah (s.w.t).
