6.1 Improving the noise immunityThe noise immunity of a system is determined by its weakest component. Correctconnections, lines and shielding are key factors. Follow the procedures describedin this chapter.

INFO Further informationYou can find further information on the immunity of a plant in the ApplicationNote 016 EMC-Compatible Installation of Electric Cabinets on our homepage.

DIN rail Mount the JX3-PS1 on a DIN rail to DIN EN 60715 with the dimensions 35 x7.5 mm.

The DIN rail must be electrically conducting and grounded by either of the twoways: Directly: Via rear panel of the electric cabinet

Application Note016

Also refer to Application Note 016 EMC-Compatible Installation of Electric Cabinets by Jetter AG.The following instructions are excerpts from Application Note 016: Separate signal and power lines physically. Jetter AG recommends a dis-

tance greater than 20 cm. Cables and lines should cross each other at an an-gle of 90°.

Shield the following lines: Analog lines Data lines Motor cables of inverter drives (servo amplifiers, frequency converters) Lines between components and interference suppression filter if the filter

is not placed directly on the component. Connect the shield on both sides. Keep unshielded wire ends of shielded cables as short as possible. Pull back the entire perimeter of the shield behind the insulation. Then clamp

it with the greatest possible surface area under a grounded strain relief.
