Fundamental kinematic theory required for planar, spherical, and spatial mechanism design. The focus is on algebraic methods for the exact solution of constraint equations.

Input-output and state-space representations of continuous-time linear systems. State transition matrices. Controllability and observability. Irreducible realizations. State feedback and observer design.

ENGRMAE 244 THEORETICAL KINEMATICS

Spatial rigid body kinematics is presented with applications to robotics. Orthogonal Matrices, Rodrigues' formula, Quaternions, Plucker coordinates, screw theory, and dual numbers are studied using modern projective geometry and multi-linear algebra. Applications include trajectory planning, inverse kinematics, and workspace analysis.

This course aims to familiarize the graduate students with technical and real-world aspects of cardiovascular devices. World known experts will discuss about multiple aspects of cardiovascular devices.Topics to be covered are: cardiovascular device engineering, regulatory affairs, fundraising, patents, commercialization, clinical applications, marketing and so many more.

ENGRMAE 249 MICRO-SENSORS AND ACTUATORS

Introduction to the technology of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). Fundamental principles and applications of important microsensors, actuation principles on micro-scale. Introduction to the elements of signal processing; processing of materials for micro sensor/actuator fabrication; smart sensors and microsensor/microactuator array devices.

• Derive the formula about the motion linkages and error minimization

• Obtain and test the bar lengths of the double four-bar linkages combination in Mathematica and Geogebra

• Do 3D Modeling of the linkages in the Solidworks

• Design and model a curvature- surface stationary arm based on the beach cruisor handle bar

• Design and model a robotic arm (the four-bar linkages constraint the arm to 1 degree of freedom)

• Assist to model other parts of the robot in Solidworks

• Do a lot of hand-on manufacturing such as welding, grinding, sewing, drilling, bending etc.

RACECAR• Design the high & low voltage analog system and

model the circuit diagram in AutoCAD

• Do the FEA to the chassis (shown in the next slide)

• Assist to redesign the battery box and extend the side part of the chassis

• Do a lot of hand-on manufacturing such as test driving, welding, grinding, sewing, drilling, bending etc.
