Hatfield Basin Trunk Sewer Progress this period:

• Selected preliminary proposed routes and plan for pipe sizes with Engineer. • Surveyor initiated work. • Conducted project meeting: McLean segment eliminated in due to elevations

preventing tie in; added gravity line to eliminate grinder pump at Centennial Park. • Met with BDD#4 regarding Mary’s Creek crossing and elevation will dictate slab

protection for sanitary and elevation will create a necessity to for this to be slope paving of the Creek bottom and channel.

• Engineer submitted schedule to project team.

Planned activities for the period ending July 31, 2011: • Review and address implications of Mary’s Creek crossing. • Complete data gathering and continue survey work. • Initiate environmental data gathering. • Initiate geotechnical investigation. • Continue to refine routes and pipe sizes. • Approve contract amendment to adjust scope of work regarding McLean

segment elimination, environmental investigation/permitting for Mary’s Creek crossing and segment added to Centennial Park.

Cullen Parkway Improvement (Beltway 8 to FM 518)

Engineer: Design Engineers: Bury + Partners Contractor: Hassell Construction CM: TxDoT Elapsed time: 665 Days Progress this period:

• A completion evaluation walk-through was conducted by TxDoT Wednesday Apr 27

• Contractor continues to perform TxDoT items along with those identified by the City

• This signal contractor has completed the installation of the foundations for the outstanding street lights along the northbound lane. Remaining street lights will be installed once concrete cure time is complete.

• Signal work continues at all four intersections, TXDoT is working on plan revisions to enable final configurations to be completed.

• Several intersections are missing ADA sidewalk ramps and some are missing portions of the pedestrian signals or have signals that do not match up with ramps and sidewalks

• TXDoT will supply new Naztec controllers for all four signals • Staff working with TXDoT to schedule swap out of controllers once

signals are accepted by TxDoT • City will do an acceptance walk with TXDoT once they have completed

final modifications to the signals and intersection markings/ sidewalks and ramps

Planned Activities for period ending July. 31, 2011: • TxDoT working on plan revisions, which will also include the temporary

traffic control barrier at the north end of the existing project. This is in the current change order process now and may take several more weeks to install and complete.

• Signal transfer should occur in July depending on TXDoT’s schedule for completion and acceptance of signals. Installation of Naztec signal controllers will be done once original work is accepted by TXDoT

Project Schedule • Schematic plan and PER- April 2007. Completed in May.

o Design Phase started in March 2008. o Complete Design November 2008

• Approval for letting in February 2009. • Detention Pond started April 6, 2009

Public Safety Building

• Cameras for the Evidence Recording System have been installed and are performing as required

• Final outstanding item is correction of the lighting equipment on the front wall. Custom electrical boxes have been delivered ,

o Installation scheduled for first week of July • All LEED paperwork from Design and Construction is complete and

submitted to USGBA. o Syska Hennessey, City’s commissioning agent, still working

on final data review and documenting approval reports. Informed by Syska that this work should be complete by early July.

Planned Activities for period ending July 31, 2011:

• Expecting report of LEED documentation completeness and acceptance by end of July or early August

• Held design kick-off meeting April 2008. • Break ground Nov.2008. • Building construction began December 2008. • Scheduled completion of building re-scheduled to Feb 4 due to Rain

Delays • Completion extended to end of March by additional work items added to

contract • Partial Beneficial Occupancy began April 14, 2010 • Final acceptance pending installation of the exterior lighting

changes

Hillhouse Satellite Public Works Facility Design Engineer: Huitt-Zollars. Contractor: R. Hassell Construction, Inc. CM: In-House Billed to Date: $ 789,800 % Billed: 37 Contract Days Used: 199 % of Contract Days: 74 Progress this period:

• Fuel system equipment package for Orange Street facility installed and working. Some minor bugs remain in programming of user ID for fuel keys and Training not complete. Otherwise system fully operational

• Building roofing and insulation underway now should be complete by end of first week in July.

• Electrical Rough in inside building is about 80% complete. Electrical rough in is currently underway in the fuel island and canopy.

o Centerpoint has initiated construction of the third phase feeder along street outside of site and begun construction of service to site

• Mechanical Rough in is about 60% complete • Plumbing Rough in is about 85% complete • Fire Sprinkler piping is about 90% complete • Fuel island foundation complete and canopy structure (red iron) is

complete. Roof has been installed and completion awaits final installation of electrical within the overhead space above soffit.

• Building interior wall framing has begun and exterior wall rigid insulation is installed.

• Staff have completed the bid phase and initiated construction phase of the installation of fiber optic communications interlink between Hillhouse facility and PSB. Work will begin in late July and complete in a matter of ten days or less.

boxes because there are gas lines conflicts that would further delay the project if addressed. • The contractor has made the wet connects west of Veterans so that the residents can have a

two-way feed when the transfer is made. • The Garcia house on the eastern limit of the project is still occupied. The occupants have not

allowed any work on the property. The Right of Entry agreement will allow the contractor to begin work after June 27, 2011. The occupants have agreed to move out by June 29, 2011.

• Contractor is to submit a Traffic Control Plan for the areas beyond the paving limits that will have the asphalt overlay.

• The decorative lights were ordered from Centerpoint in May, but it will take ten to twelve weeks for delivery. The contractor is to pull the conduit and Centerpoint will install.

• USACE issued a Nationwide Permit for the low water crossing on Hickory Slough.

TxDOT SH35 Improvements Progress for period ending June 2011:

• Triple B Services completed the installation of the water line under FM 518 and the connection to the existing water line in the contaminated soil area. Triple B Services completed this water line installation at night to avoid any interruption of water service to businesses in the area. They still have to complete approximately 20 feet of water line to the south of FM 518 for a future water line connection.

• Triple B Services installed the steel water line crossing along the bridge at Hickory Slough but still need to connect the steel water line which is installed on the bridge to the existing water line below ground.

• Triple B Services continued to install the phase I paving south of the Pearland ISD Building and various driveways, sidewalks and intersections between the flea market and the Pearland ISD Building. The McHard Road intersection was completed. Phase I paving is the west side lanes (southbound) of SH 35. Phase II is scheduled to be the center lanes and Phase III will be the east side lanes (northbound).

• Triple B Services continued to work on the bridge structures over Clear Creek, Hickory Slough and Town Ditch.
