BUSINESS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Prior to joining Colliers International, Jim worked with Crawford Hoying and CB Richard Ellis. Jim’s education at The Ohio State University, where his major was Real Estate and Urban Analysis, was the foundation of his educational background, but now also includes coursework with The Institute of Real Estate Management, the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and various other continuing education programs. Jim’s experience with commercial real estate started in 1979 where he began his property management career. He has managed properties in nine different Midwest cities, oversaw day-to-day operations on properties producing multi-million dollar rent rolls. He is especially proud of his breadth of experience from managing properties as small as a single garage to as large as high-rise office buildings.
