Javougn Moreland: Production Log _ The Night Wraith
Week 1
I and Shane start to discuss what our film trailer is going be based on the theme of neo noire. We start to plan out what props we will need, when we are going to do the location filming, what clothing to wear. In addition I started to plan out the storyboard for it which still needs tweaking and I plan to start writing the treatment.
Week 2
Writing the treatment for the film trailer and roughly planning out with Shane how to present the storyboard we are doing. In addition, I’m writing out what props we will need for our neo noire film trailer.
Week 3
Discussing with Shane some more about what our storyboard may look like and anything that may need to be tweaked, which locations we are going to film at alongside with image shots of the location.
Week 4
I and Shane were thinking of what we should call the trailer. We designed the Title Page on Photoshop (A form of software which is used for creating/editing images) for our trailer and came up with the name The Night Wraith. The text for The Night Wraith is a downloadable text from a website called DaFont and the Red Moon is a reference image form the Internet.

Week 5
I am working on the props that we will need for our film trailer while Shane is finalizing the storyboard and created a snow/TV effect on After Effects.
Week 6
I was working on the call sheet for when and where Shane and I are going to film. I also was working on the script for The Night Wraith while Shane was working on the location shoots and adding the characters and specifically where we will film.

Week 7
I and Shane decided to let Frank join our group in which he’ll be assigned as the main camera operator and sound operator, additionally, I and Shane also decided to let him be The Night Wraith murderer as it will be easier to film allowing everyone to take part in the trailer.
Also I did the assets for the film trailer which was needed for when we were filming. With filming a small piece of our trailer, the person who used the camera was Frank while Shane and I where the main actors in the trailer (The Detectives).
Week 8
Started filming the Interior scenes for the trailer which Shane and I are detectives. Frank was the person who was operating the camera and recording the sound so that the volume would be loud enough when we started to edit it.
After we finished the interior scenes I gave Frank the task to edit the script some more while I gave myself the task to edit the footage we had gathered by doing up a EDL sheet and writing down what seconds of footage we need. When that was done imported all the footage plus the recordings into Premiere Pro (A form of software used to edit video footage and composite it into a neither footage clip/movie) and replaced the recordings with where linked with the footage to the recording from the phone to give the video clips a higher quality of sound, when this process was completed I split the clips from the information of the EDL sheet and joined the clips together that where part of the dialogue of the storyboard.
Week 9
Printed off the new edited version of the script along with the Call Sheets and the Letterings that will be needed for filming tomorrow. Made sure to let Shane know in advance what props is needed for filming tomorrow as it is a key aspect for the trailer and I’ve also let Frank know to bring the correct clothing “ his hoodie” as he will play the part as the murderer for The Night Wraith murder.
Week 10
I and Frank started editing the footage, we halved the work between the two of us so it would be easier which it comes to us to actually composite all the clips together into the trailer. While Frank was editing I was working on with Shane to which clips needed to be shorten and what clips not to include. When Frank was finished with one scene, which the murderer does the killing (continuously plays throughout the trailer) I took that piece of important footage and changed the brightness of it so it would appear black and white.
Week 11
Javougn Moreland: Production Log _ The Night Wraith Continued to do the edit for the footage I, Shane and Frank gathered. When Frank finished his section of the edit he gave me all the edited clips and I added them onto the footage that I completed onto Premiere Pro. I still continued to tweak the clips and try to narrow down the duration of the trailer.
Week 12
Asked Frank to create a title sequence to indicate to the audience that its about two detectives. I helped him with the thought process and what things we should add and not add through our discussion. After that was completed I added it to the trailer and continued to edit the clips by adding the sound effects, which Shane recorded on his mobile when we were filming.
Week 13
Continued to edit the footage with some help from Mark and we began to narrow down the duration of the trailer. When that was done I and Shane began to search for a background music soundtrack to set the mood for the trailer so it builds up tension towards the audience and I began to search for some other background music such as birds singing, police sirens, crow sounds etc. To add more effect to the trailer.
Week 14
Continued to edit the clips for our Trailer by adding additional sounds to bring the trailer along some more. I also made what the age rating of the trailer is aimed towards at the start of the trailer while Shane made the title sequence for the end of the trailer explaining who has different roles for producing our Neo Noire Trailer.
Week 15
Finally finished the edit for our la noire trailer The Night Wraith, all that I needed to do was to edit the title by adding a dip to black effect and to include two sound files that Shane recorded.
