As I mentioned last Sunday morning, our new year started off with a bang. New Years Eve was spent in the ER with my grandson and then my oldest daughter. The stomach flu took up residence from Sunday evening until Friday eve- ning and almost the whole house, including company, was affected. I saw a post that said “What you do on the first day of the year will be what you do the rest of the yea r.” I sure hope not! I am happy to r eport that all are well now. I am also happy to report that because we followed the Dr.’s directions and did what we were supposed to do, we mended quickly. I am also happy to report that when we find ourselves in spiri- tual sickness, if we follow the Great Physician’s directions, we will mend even quicker. Spiritual sickness is sin and the Bible says if we confess our sin He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us. It is certainly good news to know we have great doc- tors, nurses and hospital in our community . But it is even greater news that we have a Great Physician that heals and cleanses when we come to HIM. Come to Jesus for His heal- ing power. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
