    • Transportation Department will be sending route and time information for students who qualify

    • Students will load from the back of the bus to the front of the bus

    • Students will sit one to a seat unless they are siblings

    • Mask must be worn, windows will be open

    • Please attest prior to student loading the bus

    • Drivers will sanitize high touch areas

    • Staff supervision at outdoor entrances begins at 7:40 (11:40) (dress for the weather)

    • School Doors Open at 7:55 (11:55)

    • Teachers welcome students into classrooms 7:55 – 8:05 (11:55 – 12:05)

    • Students arriving after 8:05 (12:05) enter through main off ice doors

    • Support staff will process tardy arrivals, take temperatures and confirm attestation

    • Ideal arr ival t ime between 7:55 and 8:05

    • Greatly reduced traf f ic due to smal l enrol lment in AM/PM (~60 – 80 students)

    Arrival Tips

  • I FORGOT MY…

    The school office is closed.

    Only EMERGENT items should be brought to the school. An

    example of this might be antibiotics, with a provider note.

    • Forgotten lunch can be purchased at school

    • Forgotten backpack/homework can be sent the

    next day

    • Forgotten coat, student can have an indoor recess

    • Forgotten mask, we have extra!

    • Forgotten laptop, we can supply one for a day

    Consider making a School Checklist to follow each day!

  • Not

    • Students should tell our parents if we

    feel any of these symptoms at home -

    - we will stay home if we do.

    • We tell our teacher if we feel these

    symptoms at school.

    • Parents should call a Provider for the

    following:

    • Fever over 100.4

    • Cough

    • Loss of taste or smell

    • Shortness of breath

    • Extra furniture has been removed and stored

    redesign instruction to minimize interaction

    Students are assigned a zone on the playground and wi l l p lay

    in the zone with their c lass cohort

    Mask are required (students needing a mask break wi l l be

    given the break with socia l distance.)

    Whi le in our 2.5-hour schedule, we wi l l not be having snack.

    Students should eat pr ior to arr iving at school. I f we need to

    adjust this, snacks wi l l be eaten outside only and with str ict

    socia l distance.

    • Cherry Crest students will engage in specialist learning during asynchronous learning at home

    • Specialist are scheduled within the school day and attendance is required.

    Visitors, Assemblies and Field Trips

    • Parents and guardians are not permitted on campus during in-person learning.

    • Essential drop-off of items need to occur at the office window from 10am-2pm.

    • If you need late arrival or early pick up, please contact the school office and notify them when you arrive so they can have your child ready and meet you outside

    • All assemblies will be virtual and there will be no in person field trips for 20-21 school year.

    A wellness room (isolation space) will be available for students who experience

    symptoms at school while they await pick up.

    WHAT HAPPENS IF COVID-19 CASES OCCUR?

    Elementary schools are grouping with Cohorts:

    → If 2 or more COVID-19 cases are confirmed

    → In one classroom

    → Within 14 days

    → Classroom will be sent home to quarantine for 14 days and resume remote

    learning

    → We will consult public health to determine if an entire needs to be closed for

    14 days.

  • What if I get hurt? CARES

    CARES

    • You will get help in your classroom or go to the Nurse’s health room.

    • If you need a bandage or an ice pack, you will get one and return to class.

    • There won’t be any “resting” in the health room this year.

  • Requires a visit to your family doctor:

    Fever of 100.4°F or 38°C or higher

    Cough

    Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    New loss of taste or smell

    May be able to return to school if symptoms are gone in 24 hours:

    Chills

    Fatigue

    Muscle pain or body aches

    Headache

    Sore throat

    Congestion or runny nose

    Nausea or vomiting

    Diarrhea

    • Students who exhibit any symptom of

    illness, will go to the “CARES” Room.

    • A staff member wearing appropriate

    Protection equipment, will “check student

    in” and support their emotional and

    physical needs.

    • Student remains supervised.

    assisting with contact tracing:
