James (Jim) Buck Schweller, 70 James (Jim) Buck Schweller, 70, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Monday, December 18th 2017. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December, 29th at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Visitation, at Shawnee Mission Unitarian Church, 9400 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215. Jim was born on November 3,1947 in St. Louis, Missouri. He married his wife, Nancy (Pfeifer) Schweller, in 1974. He was an avid sailor and spent his free time fixing and rehabbing his 1970 Kenner sailboat at Lake Perry. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. "Baboo", as he was referred to by them, was very active in their daily lives. He went to their games, performances, events, and even school lunches regularly. Jim loved baseball and he coached Olathe Youth Baseball for many years. He left lasting impressions on many children that he coached and mentored for years. After his children graduated from Olathe East in the 90's he remained a regular at the ballpark, keeping score for the Hawks baseball team every game for 20 years. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ada (Buck) Schweller. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy and three children, JT Schweller (Angela); Laine Tysver (Tom); and Robby (Andrea). He also leaves behind his "Magnificent Seven" grandchildren: Jacob (10), Ada (9), Sophia (8), Michael (8), Evan (7), Lucas (6) and Lauren (6) and his brothers and sisters Kenneth Schweller (Jeanne), Jane Galownia (Joe), Paul Schweller (Suzy) and Judy Shanahan (Jay).
