Dear Families
We had a wonderful first week with very joyful students returning to school and new
excited ones joining us. Thank you for your positive encouragement of school as a
great place to be – it makes such a difference to how children come to school.
2021 promises to be a great year! Lansdowne is 105 this year which is very exciting and
it is also my 10th year at Lansdowne which I am delighted about and very proud of,
what a privilege to be part of such an amazing school community for such a length of
time. Fingers crossed and all going well. It is also a Fair year which is an event we all
look forward to and love.
Tas Check In App
We have gone high tech and if you come into school for a visitor of longer than 15
mins you can check in through the Tas Check in App. Please continue to come to the
school office to sign in and out.
Meet the teacher and our Welcome BBQ
We are excited to be able to hold our Welcome BBQ and Meet the Teacher evening
on Thursday 18th of February (next week).
We still need to apply density and physical distancing rules so we will take these
measures when visiting the rooms and enjoying a sausage.
• Rooms will be open from 4:30-6.00pm
• Children will tour you in the class
• Please check in on site at the nearest classroom by using the Tas Check in App
QR code
• Join the BBQ from 5.00pm and stand 1.5 metres apart when waiting for your
sausage.

School Photo Day is Wednesday, 24th February 2021
Ordering and payment can all be done online. Each student has a unique shoot key which must be used for online
ordering. Each child has taken home a School Photos Card.
On this card is their individual ‘ShootKey’ number and instructions on how to order.
There will be no cash payments.
These cards do not need to be returned to school once you have ordered.
• Family photos are ordered with a separate ShootKey number.
• Cards for ordering family photos are available from the school office.
• PLEASE NOTE: Sibling photos will take place at 8.30am in the GP Room
• If you need assistance with ordering, please contact the photographers direct.

BRIDGE FUN RUN
Once again, the Run the Bridge Fun Run and Walk is on Sunday 28th February. Last year we had a huge school team for the event. It starts on the Tasman Bridge, with traffic stopped for the race and always attracts a huge field. We have a Lansdowne Primary team entered, so when you enter the race, remember to click on our school team so you can be counted in our overall number. In addition, there is a discount code for school students: HRBSCHOOL
I am looking forward to seeing lots of students and parents on the day!

REMINDER TO PARENTS
Just a reminder to parents and students to please access your child’s classroom through
the closest external door before school and when leaving at the end of the day, this
helps us minimalise traffic through the Administration Area. Thank you.

ARRIVAL TIME AT SCHOOL
A reminder that duty of care does not begin until
8:30am each day. Students should not arrive at
school before this time. Students should be
collected promptly at the end of the day
as duty of care concludes at 3:15.pm.
