Dear Parents,

Book Week has been a wonderful experience throughout ISHCMC as parents, students

and teachers wore costumes, read to students, and shared some of their favourite books of

all time. If Book Week wasn’t enough, we had our first-ever 3-way conferences. Attendance

was very high and I personally thank all for attending. If you did not have an opportunity to

meet with your child's teacher, please contact the classroom teacher in order to book an

appointment.

We have had a number of students bringing unhealthy snack to school. In order to help

provide a balanced diet for students, we ask you to please make sure students come to

school with a snack that will provide children with the diet they need to succeed at school.

A huge thank you to parents who fought the poor weather on Thursday and made it to our

coffee morning on how to support learning at home. Due to the inability of many parents to

make the coffee morning, we will re-run the session this coming Thursday (Nov 14th) at

8am in the ICT lab. We hope you can make it. Also remember that our primary production

will take place next week on Thursday and Friday night, we hope to see you there.

Have a great weekend!

Last week was the swimming gala for

Stingrays, it was ISHCMC VS Saigon

Pearl

Each swim was 25 meters. It looked

really cold but I think ISHCMC is

winning we had lots of parents. I know

they were cheering and supporting

our group.

Whoever was in front was really lucky.

I wonder what it feels like... hard,

easy, tiring. We interviewed some

people in the race, these are the peo-

ple we interviewed: Won Jun, Celie,

and Emily.

We ask these people some questions.

First we ask Won Jun what stroke he

Swimming Gala

likes and he said that he liked 25m

breath stroke because he was fast.

Next we asked Celie what was her fa-

vorite stroke and Celie said that she

liked free style because she was faster

at free style.

Then we ask Emily how does it feel to win first place, she said the it feel a bit scary and then we ask her another question which is how does the water feel, she said that the water felt weird and cold.
