Inventory Information System Overview

Web resource Solutions is dedicated to providing top-level, Enterprise-class Technology solutions to small business. But, what does that mean? It means identifying and creating products that perform at a corporate level, but without the attendant corporate costs or complexity. A great example is WRS’s “Inventory Information System” or IIS. IIS can help you manage your Inventory, maintain Customer information, create Invoices, track Sales, and manage and share information with other applications, like QuickBooks, or your Web applications. But beyond the capabilities required, small businesses need technology products that are easy to understand and use. If a PhD in computers is required to operate the program, you’re probably not going to use it. IIS was originally designed for a computer novice to manage his bicycle repair business, so ease of use is a built-in feature of the system. How Does IIS Work?

IIS tracks three primary pieces of information; Customers, Products & Inventory, and Invoices & Sales. This is done simply, with an easy to use interface with intuitive controls. Let’s take a look at how it works. The Main page or “Control Center”

This is the main control panel for managing your inventory. All items are laid out in a “spread sheet” type format, similar to programs like Excel or Lotus 1-2-3. By clicking on an item in the spreadsheet, the product detail for that Item is displayed in the “Details” panel below. Just make your changes, click on Save, and your Inventory is changed. Click “New”, and you can add a new Item. It’s that simple.
