  • 2. As an international student studying abroad in the U.S. can sometimes be difficult when trying to make friends and socialize. Fact 1: During the 2011-2012 school year more than 764,400 international students were attending American colleges.
  • 3. As a student of the social media era it can be as easy as clicking a mouse to finding a group, club, team, or others that you can meet with to help the transition from being a long way from home. Dont Be Nervous!
  • 4. SOME OF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANCE:
  • 5. Fact 2: 85-95% of college student are on Facebook. 2,000 colleges are on Facebook. Fact 3: Yelp is a directory on businesses in different cities (i.e. restaurants, shopping areas, and others) are rated by people who have been there. Fact 4: This video sharing website will help students learn about what it is like going to college in America from other international students.

  • 7. Fact 7: Linkedin is a great tool for all students including international students communicate with other students and companies (in the United States or in their home country). I great way to profile your brag sheet. Fact 8: Another social network that can give advice, knowledge, and inform a international student to help them prepare and understand how to be a part of college that they are attending.
