eparing f Millikin as an International Student Welcome to Millikin! We are very excited that you will be joining our campus. First Week is a time designed for all new students to adjust to Millikin before the start of classes. As an international student, we believe that First Week is essential to be successful at Millikin! Before you join us on campus, we want you to know a few important things about our community:

Decatur is a friendly city, and very easy tonavigate with public transportation! You will be given a tour of Decatur during your orientation, and will be taught how to use the bus system to navigate the city.

Having a roommate is essential to the college experience in America! We believe you will adjust easier to American life by sharing a living environment with a domestic student. Whether you live in the residence hall, or The Woods Apartment complex, we encourage you to embrace the opportunity to live with someone from a different culture.

Get involved in your classroom and with student organizations. Start to get involved in your classes and in student organizations.Did you know that there are over 90 student organizations on campus? We want you to find the perfect fit, and meet new people by joining at least one organization! The International Student Organization (ISO) is a great start, and you will meet many of these members in August. We are excited to see you on campus, and start your adventure at Millikin!
