international medical travel exhibition and conference 2014 post show report
DESCRIPTION
The second edition of the International Medical Travel Exhibition and Conference (IMTEC) was a huge success. The event took place on 5-6 March 2014 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, UAE. It hosted more than 2,000 attendees from 79 different countries and 109 exhibitors, truly establishing itself as the must-attend international event for the medical travel industry. The IMTEC conference, running alongside the exhibition, boasted a new innovative format. It tackled the lack of reliable data reflecting market progress and growth dynamics in meeting sector needs and improving patient care. Delegates got the chance to be actively involved in panel debates, listening to case studies and learn from practical examples from renowned international entities. CMTs are typically representatives of government, insurance, facilitation, armed forces and travel industries. The Commissioners of Medical Travel (CMT) programme was developed to ensure that IMTEC exhibitors received substantial networking opportunities with qualified investors in overseas patient care. The 2nd annual CMT Programme hosted 71 participants from all over the world. These CMTs were partnered with exhibitors through various pre-scheduled meetings and business exchange sessions.

60% of our Polish facilities assessed IMTEC as a very good event to meet potential buyers. The business exchange session was the most important part of the event. Consortium representatives learned a lot during the conference and the opportunity to disuss with world-class speakers was very interesting. We hope that Polish Medical Tourism Consortium will be able to participate again at IMTEC 2015.

DelegatesMedical travel professionals from across the globe benefited from a two-day multi-track conference programme. Recognised local and international industry leaders provided delegates the most up-to-date information about medical travel trends in the region and worldwide.
The conference featured lectures on wellness, market forces and future projections, transparency in medical travel, and more. Delegates also had the opportunity joining in and learning from panel debates, idea forums and case studies on emerging trends in the medical travel market.
IMTEC 2014 had lined up experts from different parts of the world sharing their success and experience of being in the medical travel industry for years. This has been a great learning experience especially for healthcare providers in Dubai in supporting their growing services for inbound medical tourism.
