ERASMUS MUNDUS
• Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries.
• Since end of December 2009, UPM has successfully bid for six (6) projects under the
Erasmus Mundus. Through the projects that have been successful executed, indirectly UPM has left footprints among project members!

MYEULINK (15 December 2009 – 14 December 2012)
• A project supported by the European Union, and is the landmark in the development of a growing and equitable partnership between Malaysia and the European Union. • The MYEULINK project targets those who will play a key role in the future development and growth of this country. This of course, includes Malaysian students, educators, policy makers and entrepreneurs who wish to develop themselves and their institutions towards a bigger international dimension. •UPM together with University Malaya, University Malaysia Sabah and University of Nottingham Malaysia as the co-ordinator of the project. The Malaysian team also partners with 3 European Universities, namely; Institute Asia-Europe, University of Nottingham, UK and University of Maastricht, Netherlands.

European Academic Mobility Network with Asia (EURASIA 2) 18 October 2010 – 18 October 2014
• A cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries. • The main objective of the project EURASIA 2 is to contribute to the promotion of the European system of higher education world-wide (Bologna Declaration) and to strengthen the existing network of co-operation among universities in Asia and Europe by expanding their experience in student and staff exchanges to the associate institutions • In total 120 mobility flows have been planned in frame of this project from Asian institutions to EU. The planned exchange activities and mobility flows involve staff and students representing all levels of the participating institutions: BSc-, MSc-, and PhD-students, Post-doctorate as well as Academic staff.

• An activity under the Erasmus Mundus cooperation and mobility programme for promoting the
European system of higher education worldwide and the strengthening of existing network of co-operation among universities in Asia and Europe. •UPM is the only Malaysian university partner in this programme. Thus, UPM has been appointed as the secretariat for the project. Overall, the mobility involve 120 students and staff from Asia to Europe. • A total of 11 scholarships have been allocated under this programme - 9 scholarships (for UPM students ) -2 scholarships (Other Malaysia HEI UPM , 1 Masters and PhD students)

Let’s Move Together (MOVER) 15 November 2011 – 15 November 2015
• MOVER is a mobility project funded by the European Commission Under the Erasmus Mundus Programme, Action 2 • The aim of MOVER is to contribute to the Third Countries' challenges, as posed in their national plans of development, by upgrading the students and the staff academic level (particularly at postgraduate level) and to promote the design of joint degrees between the EU and the TC partners while encouraging the emergence of new ones in the TC institutions. • The partnership is coordinated by the University of Murcia, Spain, and composed by a Consortium of 23 Universities including Partners and Associates in Asia and Europe, one associate network, two NGOs and other associates. A total mobility of 115 individuals will be involved in educational and training activities from Asia to Europe.

• is an Erasmus Mundus mobility project funded by the European Commission. It provides 103 scholarships to students at all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD, post-doc researchers and staff) from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, India, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to the European consortium partners.

• is an EU (ERUSMUS MUNDUS) project, aims to foster partnerships of emerging Asian countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, China, India, Malaysia and Thailand) with the EU countries (Germany, Romania, Hungary, France, and UK) to reinforce the existing collaborations developed through the EAST-WEST Asia Link project, eLINK and eTourism.

ASEAN University Network (AUN)
• UPM is an active AUN member since August 2010 and is one of the 4 university in Malaysia that has collaborate under AUN.
• AUN is a combined organization between all the ASEAN universities that proposed to promote the
research and education programme, exchange student and academic staff and administration collaboration in the ASEAN universities.
• In UPM, we offer 5 types of programme under AUN which are Exchange Student Programme with
credit transfer (1 semester), Intercultural Student Programme (Academic & Culture), Asia Forum, Seminar, Dialogue & Policy, Meeting and Conference and AUN-University’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability
• Total inbound under AUN = 85 students • Total outbound under AUN = 8 students

Mevlana Exchange Protocol • Mevlana Exchange Programme is a programme which aims the exchange of students and
academic staff between the Turkish higher education institutions and higher education institutions of other countries with the regulation published in August 23, 2011.
• Students may study abroad for 1 to 2 semesters and academic staff may lecture abroad from 1 week to 3 weeks. Accordingly, students and academic staff from any country may benefit from this programme being hosted by Turkish higher education institutions in order to study or lecture in Turkey.

Kokugakuin Short Term Exchange Programme (K-STEP) Kokugakuin University, with the corporation with the ‘Japan Student Services Organization’ (JASSO) is offering a full scholarship to UPM student to join the ‘Kokugakuin Short-Term Exchange Programme’ (K-STEP) for one academic year. UPM is very active in sending students for under K-STEP since 2005. • Total outbound under K-STEP = 19 students
