(ii) Themes
2.14 Significant Activities and contributions made by IQAC
1. Strategies and feedback mechanism were set by IQAC for student orientation programme for
UG/PG in the beginning of the academic year and Half a day training to young faculty has been
conducted.
2. One day Student orientation programme for B. Sc and M. Sc fresh students has been conducted
and off campus-orientation programme for fresher students of BCA has been organised. Online
Registration for Placement cell for passed out students and final year UG & PG students.
3. Online Feedback formats for Alumni, registration for placement cell and alumni has been
uploaded in our college website.
4. Academic Calendar of events has been prepared and circulated to the departments and uploaded
in website.
5. Submission of RUSA DCF-documents for RUSA grants MHRD, New Delhi under the
component No.7 infrastructure grant. IQAC has submitted the required information to the
authorities.
6. Shared the information to the quality performing organization-All India National Survey on
Higher education (AISHE) initiated by the MHRD, Govt. of India.
7. Motivated the faculty and students to attend the Yoga camp after college hours organized at
Sharma Institute, Hubballi.
8. IQAC has organized a workshop on “Goal Setting and Bench Marking for Institutional Quality
Enhancement” on 1st June 2017 at Conference Hall for all the UG & PG faculty members
9. IQAC share the Academic and administrative data to NIRF, MHRD, govt. of India
10. IQAC has conducted training programmes and workshops on teaching methodology and Role
of Teacher.
11. IQAC has organised Two day workshop on “NAAC Insight” for faculty by renowned experts
National Conference theme: NAAC sponsored two day national conference on “Innovative
Curriculum to Enhance Student Employability and Global Competency” on 2nd
& 3rd

2017.

2.12 How does IQAC Contribute/Monitor/Evaluate the Teaching & Learning processes:
IQAC Sets the parameters and directs the departments to prepare the lesson plan,
teaching plan, calendar of events and teacher’s diary for effective teaching & learning.
Mentor system motivates the students to set the goal and supports them to progress to
reach their goals.
Analysis of Students feedback on teaching and curriculum for effective improvement of
academic quality.
Analysis of feedback on curriculum, infrastructure and teaching learning process by
alumni, parent and experts will help to update the curriculum and infrastructure to meet
the student academic growth and employability.
Result analysis by department wise and subject wise.
Interaction of parents during parent-teacher meets. Feedback from parents helps to

IQAC has organized to NAAC sponsored conference on “Innovative Curriculum to
Enhance Student Employability and Global Competency” on 2nd & 3rd March 2017 to
design the innovative curriculum for student employability at global level.

3.1 Initiatives of the IQAC in Sensitizing/Promoting Research Climate in the institution
1. IQAC has conducted meetings with faculty and motivated to prepare and submit the

5. Student Support and Progression
5.1 Contribution of IQAC in enhancing awareness about Student Support Services
5.2 Efforts made by the institution for tracking the progression
1. Prospectus, calendar of academic events and constitutions of Admission
committees.
2. Student counseling by admission committee at the time of admission regarding
choice of course, combinations and job opportunities.
3. Orientation programme for B. Sc, BCA and M. Sc students at the entry level to
develop awareness about availability of student facilities, pattern of examination,
setting of goal and campus placements in the college and campus..
4. IQAC compile and analyze the feedback from students on teaching, learning &
support service suggests the corrective measures.
5. The suggestions from suggestion box of the students are collated and considered to
resolve the student problems on need base for overall development of the college

By taking feedback from stakeholders on infrastructure, curriculum, student
supporting system, examination & evaluation system.
Alumni association communicates the alumni by electronic media and keeps the
record.
Academic and administration audit is made by internal and external AAA
committee.
SWOC analysis by faculty.
Analysis of impact factor of research publications, prizes and awards for paper
presentations.
From the past experience the college found that about 40% UG passed students go
for PG courses and 20% of the students take up some jobs either through the
campus placement or through their personal effort.

Reference: 1.3 Feedback from stakeholders: Students
Staff Assessment Report – October 2016
The IQAC has developed the student feedback format by the help of experts and senior
faculty of the college. The IQAC conducted an evaluation of teachers from students to evaluate
teachers on different issues of teaching and learning phenomena.
Every semester the students give their feedback manually in a specific format. It helps
the faculty and management to improve the teaching methodology in imparting the knowledge to
students. The first feedback assessment was conducted during odd semester in the month of
October 2016. The student’s feedback from UG & PG section of the college has been collected
and analysed.
The following table represents overall scores of the UG and PG teaching staff.

The report represents the assessment of 94 staff and has been ranked with scores. 73 staff
members’ means 77.66 have been ranked with score more than 80. 16 staff members have
scored in between 60 to 80 which account 17.03%. Only 5.0 % of the staff has scored below 60.
IQAC has recommended the management and the principal to speak to the faculty scored less
than 80 score. Student response towards the assessment of the teaching and learning system of
the college is good. Further IQAC has initiated to organize the Faculty development programme
in the advanced topics introduced in the syllabus.

Staff Assessment Report – February 2017
IQAC of the college has conducted second teachers’ evaluation process on different
issues of teaching and learning parameters. All the UG and PG students of B.Sc., BCA and M.Sc
students gave their feedback manually in a specific format developed by the IQAC. The
feedback analysis of the previous semesters was taken seriously by the management. The
Principal and management members spoke to the concerned faculty and convinced them to
elevate their academic strength. The impact of Faculty development programmes organized by
the departments is observed in the in even semesters. The following table shows the scores of
both the UG and PG teaching staff.

The table shows that 75 faculty members (about 79.78% of the staff members) scored
more than 80. About 12.76% of the staff has scored more than 60. Remaining 7.46% of the staff

regarding the teaching, punctuality, preparation for class, involvement, interaction and
motivation of students. IQAC has recommended the Principal and Management to arrange
faculty development programme and take care of the teachers scored less than 80. The overall
response of students and teachers is appreciated.
