As a rule, an integraon course lasts 7 months and usually takes place on a half-day basis from Monday to Friday. It consists of a German course amounng to 600 teaching hours (900 teaching hours in the case of the special course types), followed by an orientaon course of 100 teaching hours. The orientaon course provides more informaon about German society, covering topics including culture, values, the legal system and history. Which language level does the inte- graon course allow me to aain? Your language level will be assessed via a placement test before the start of the integraon course. This may allow you to skip one or more course secons. If you fail to pass level B1, you may repeat 300 teaching hours upon applicaon.
