Haslam business had a metal cabinet fall off wall and had to be repaired and remounted securely to wall.

We are repairing lights in classrooms.

Assisted contractor in sprinkler pipe locations.

Received insulation order for SMC job coming up.

Removed light from ceiling to replace emergency bal-last at SMC.

Cleaned all 20 bathroom drains, put in hot and cold sink stems where needed, changed burnout lights in north commons, put in tamper proof screws where needed in windows, assisting plumber on putting plates over handicap stalls where we had taken out other toilets in Hodges library (night shift).

Replacing cooling pads in greenhouses at Senter Hall.

Repairing a/c wall unit and repairing drain on anoth-er a/c unit in room 118 Blount Hall.

White Ave. ELC: cleaned east, west, basement, class-rooms window AC coils also kitchen & front foyer.

Hodges Library: Replaced two broken floor elect. Outlets in room 606, replaced one stained ceiling tile in room 171.

We have checked all classrooms and auditorium for burnt-out lights before classes begin.

Second floor ladies main restroom, replaced water stop on toilet.

Changed all burn-out lights in one stop on ground floor.

West machine room air-handlers # 1, 2, 3, 4, have been cleaned and vacuumed out.

Zone 6:

Archibus: estimate, issue, verify work orders.

Dabney Buehler: room 417 sewer pipe leak, organize resources to complete repair; pipe condensation room 617 develop plan, implement solution, schedule contractors; 6th floor water fountain, organize re-sources to complete replacement.

Ayres Hall: room 415 ceiling repair from leak, organ-ize resources to complete repairs.

Hesler: check building after natural gas main break.

Address inspection list of repair.

Compile list of summer accomplishments, future pro-jects, and weekly activity for reporting.

Collect water samples on campus for hardness test-ing.

Zone 7:

In Estabrook we cleaned out the strainers air handler, also replaced belts on air handler.

In Pasqua we removed old hand rails and cleaned up tables in stairwell.

In Perkins we removed heating coil in room 119, cleaned and serviced several window AC units, and assisted construction with finishing work.

In Min Kao we changed motor & bearing in AH #1.

In SERF secured electrical panels, worked leak on drain in 705, worked on gas leak caused by contrac-tor twice.

General maintenance.

Zone 8:

With the beginning of classes we will be busy working to ensure that our customers are well tak-en care of.

We continue to work with the Archibus System. En-tering all of our daily work requests and completing them.

Keeping in mind that we will have new students on campus, we will be ready to give directions to build-ings and classrooms.

One Call should see a spike in calls over this week. We look forward to answering calls and resolving any issues that may arise.

Zone 11:

Working at Neyland Stadium changing lights and checking restrooms for the open practice this Satur-day.

Continuing to work to prepare for football season.

Working on general maintenance issues for recruits and visitors at Neyland Thompson, Brenda Lawson, and Anderson Training.

Changed out a motor for AHU 10 in Anderson train-ing.

We are working on general maintenance issues at graphic arts and parking services.

Preparing for a scrimmage game at Regal Soccer Sta-dium.

Due to a vacancy in our office and continuance of New Employee Orientation, training staff availability on Mondays and Tuesdays will be minimal.

When expecting new employees, please let the training office know by the Friday prior. We have an Orientation schedule we follow every Monday and Tuesday.

Supervisors are reminded to gather their employees to electronically fill out their Conflict of Interest forms. These forms are mandatory. Please allow your employees to use and build on the computer skills we have been providing over the last two years.

The CCP information guide is complete for the March 2016 program.

Halfway through the month of August, only 20% of those due training in August have completed it. Overall in Facilities, 14% of those assigned train-

ing from January to July are unfinished and noncom-pliant.

The Communications and PR Office is currently com-piling all of the Facilities Services Units’ summer pro-jects and upcoming fall projects. We will create a cat-alog and publish it on our Web site.

Coordinating the creation and placement of new Cone Zone signs is ongoing.

Updates to the Cone Zone Web site are ongoing.

We have updated all of our department organization-al charts.

Work on Web site design and content continues—our next phase will be an update of the Service Guide.

The distribution date of the Facilitator has changed – the bi-monthly newsletter will now cover the months of June, July and August. It will be released the last week of August.

Coordinating and planning department events/awards is ongoing.

Our Nationalized Classroom photo archive is nearly complete and will be finalized before classes start.

You can always nominate someone for employee of the month. The online nomination form can be found at fs.utk.edu along with the printable PDF version.

We are in the planning stages for our next Facilities Fundamentals Workshop featuring UT Recycling. The workshop will be held in September – look for more announcements to come in the upcoming weeks.

The Building Representative List update is nearly complete.

Our staff directory has been updated – look for the new directory when our Web site launches this week.

Coordinating with UT Media Relations and local news outlets to cover campus construction.

The Office of Sustainability is currently meeting with Eco Vols student leaders to plan for the academic year and already ideas are forming!

We also have been working with Project VEGGIE to discuss their new site design, which is to be presented to the Campus Planning and Design Committee this October.

The proposed new site design would ensure over-growth of the site does not occur, bring the group back to its educational roots (pun intended) and upgrade the site to a more aesthetically pleasing operation that would enhance and not hinder our campus landscape standards.
