GENERIC FAULT & PROBLEM RESOLUTION TABLE:

Initial Action Switch off the machine, and then switch on the machine.

If the problem remains , check the following:

a. The power lead is connected to the wall outlet and to the machine.

b. The documents are not loaded in the DADH or on the document glass.

c. The paper is loaded correctly.

d. All paper trays are closed.

e. All covers are closed or installed.

f. If a telephone line cable is installed, make sure that the cable is connected between the line socket and the wall jack.

g. If a telephone line cable is installed, make sure that the customer telephone line is functioning.

Paper Feed Jams

1. Follow instructions on UI. 2. WHEN APPLICABLE: Check docking between Optional Paper Feeder

and machine. 3. WHEN APPLICABLE: Inspect gap between Optional Paper Feeder and

machine. (See wordless instructions.) 4. Check paper is loaded correctly in paper tray. 5. Check size guides are set properly. 6. Turn paper over and “fan” the stack.

Finisher jamming 1. Check gap between copier and finisher, Adjust as required. 2. Check for residual packing material.

Finisher not stapling 1. Ensure shipping bracket was removed. 2. Ensure stapler is properly oriented.

Finisher not recognized

1. Power down Machine. 2. Disconnect finisher cable from IOT. 3. Reconnect finisher IOT. 4. Power on Machine.

Optional Paper Tray not functioning.

1. Power down Machine 2. Disconnect interface cable(s) from machine. 3. Check connectors & reconnect interface cable(s) 4. Power on Machine.

1. Check & ensure the right side exit tray is installed correctly, that it isn’t pinching the rubber set clamp fingers (4) at the finisher exit area.

2. With the power on open & close the finisher front door. 3. Power the mc off then on.

012-296 Stapler Move / Position Fault Check and verify that the stapler shipping / delivery thumb screw was removed.

012-901 Finisher H-Transport Entrance Sensor Fault

Check and verify that the Horizontal Transport plug connector is plugged into the appropriate jack connector on the rear of the finisher. If not, power off the mc and plug in the connector then power on the mc.

077-318 Wrong Exit 2 Assembly Installed Ensure that you didn’t remove / install an Exit 2 Assembly. That the Exit 2 assembly that came already installed in the IOT remains.

089-311 IBT Belt Home Fault

1. Open the main frame front door and ensure that the IBT Belt Latch handle is rotated down fully engaged.

2. Also check and make sure the mechanical interlock located on the front door opposite the IBT Belt latch handle, is positioned correct as to not interfere w/ the IBT Belt latch handle.
