(1) Unzip Install Pspice 9.1 and FirstCourse_PE_Book09 (2) Installing PSpice: Double-click on the Install_PSpice_9.1 folder. Double-click on Setup.exe to start PSpice installation. Make sure to choose Schematics (NOT Capture) in the screen titled “Select Schematic Editors” and default settings on the following screens. PSpice should be installed in the C: Drive (not in any other Drive). After the installation and before you start the program: AFor windows vista (cpu sys32,64)or win7(cpu sys32,64) ,open the folder where the software is installed, find nine application programs as follows, you should right click ,then go to properties, click the ‘compabilitiy’option, change it to ‘runing ’under the ‘windows xp sp3 or ‘xp sp2’ repeat theseone by one. , , , , , , , (B) For windows win8 (cpu sys32,64), win8 can automatically go with the parts of system XP, so you can directly start the schematic programand follow step (3)-(5) ,and do the experiments. If the pspice can not run under the win8, or can not draw the stimulation curve, you should do the same thing as (A) (3) Installing Simulation Files and the Library: Follow the steps below: 1) Launch PSPICE Student version Schematics program. 2) Go to Options menu and select Editor Configuration. - Click on Library settings. - Click on Browse and type 'C:\FirstCourse_PE_Book09\Library' and select 'First_Course_PED' library. - Click on 'ADD*' button. The library you are adding is a symbol library so make sure that the Symbol check box is ‘Checked’. - Click OK. (At this step, you may get the following message: The evaluation version is restricted to 10 configured libraries. If so, select the library you may have added in the past years, for example, 'C:\FirstCourse_PE_Book03\Library', and delete it.)
