Using the evidence from stage1 Therapists are supported to develop an individual strategy with actions/goals to build and develop cultural capacity

Engage in a series of supported activities which create opportunities for learning and development over designated period eg. 6months Gather evidence of experiences:outcomes of activities completed Learning/Implementation: how did you adapt to apply new thinking?

Stage 3. Review & Reflection

Review evidence and knowledge gained throughout the strategy period

Experiences: What activities/events did I participate in that where new/different

Practise: What practises have you participated in that where new/different

Growth: What learnings and self-awareness has occurred

Initiative: Where have you taken ownership of specific learnings and applied or plan to apply moving forward.

Throughout the project each Therapist engaged in a series of selected activities to assist in building on their knowledge and experience

Completed an induction providing knowledge on the local community which they are providing services for:Developing consciousness and knowledge of Coffs Harbour area and local people both traditional and current. Familiarise yourself with the area you are working in. Get to know the Aboriginal language groups in your area and the history of those language groups

Knowledge of relevant Aboriginal organisations, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and other service providers in the area that play keys roles in partnerships around care for community.

Spending time within an Aboriginal Service setting: Meeting and developing awareness and connection with other key health professionals involved with care of children and families Developing an appreciation and understanding the role of Aboriginal Health Services in providing culturally appropriate comprehensive

care model.
