INNOVATIVE MODERN TEXTILE

INVOVATIVE TEXTILE

Page 2: Innovative modern textile

“In its essence, Innovation is novelty in how value is created and distributed. It could entail new products or services, new methods of production, or indeed novel

forms of organising industries & firms”

- Joseph Schumpeter

BANANA FIBER

Banana fiber is a cellulosic natural fiber with relative good mechanical properties .

It is extracted from bark of banana tree , it belongs to best fiber .

The appearance of banana fiber is similar with natural original bamboo fiber and ramie fiber , but finesse & spin ability of banana fiber is better than natural original bamboo fiber & ramie fiber.

For example, in making of ropes, mats, and some other fields such as the composite materials

PINEAPPLE FIBER

Pineapple plant is widely cultivated for the fruit in tropical &subtropical regions of the world.

The leaves of pineapple plant contain approximately 3% of strong white silky fibers.

These fibers can be extracted from the leaves either by retting or mechanical means, leaf fiber are obtained from the leaves of mono cotyleadnous plant.

SOYBEAN PROTEIN FIBER (SPF)It has been praised locally & internationally by industry expert as the healthy & comfortable fiber of 21st centaury.

SPF is only renewable botanic protein fiber.

SPF is a scientific result from china after 10 years of research with 70million investments.

Since 2000, china claims to have taken world lead in industrialization production of SPF

Fabric from SPF blended with cotton- T-shirt, infant apparel and sports wear etc.

CORN FIBER

It a man made fiber derived entirely form annually renewable resources.

Corn is available in both spun & filament forms.

Corn fiber balances strength & resilience with comfort, softness drop In textile.

Corn also used no chemical additives or surface treatment & amazingly is naturally flame retardant.

BAMBOO FIBER

Bamboo fiber is a new type of green environmentally friendly product.

Through a process of hydrolysis – alkalization.

Multi-phase bleaching, starchy pulp is refined from bamboo. Repeated

technological analysis has proved that this kind of fiber has thinness and

whiteness close to fi

NATURALLY COLORED COTTONIt cotton that has been breed to have color other than the yellowish off-

white typical of modern commercial cotton fibers.

Colors grown include red, green & several shade of brown.

The cotton’s natural color does not fade.

Yields are typically lower &the fiber is shorter & weaker but has a softer

feel than the more commonly available “white” cotton.

This form of cotton also feels softer to the skin &has a pleasant smell.

BENIFITS:

There is experimental evidence to demonstrate that naturally pigment cottons, especially green cotton, have excellent sun protection properties, when comparesd with unbleached white cotton that needs to be treated with dyes of finishing to obtained similar properties.

COST:

Due to the non-industrialized product naturally colored cottons yield less per acre, but growers are paid higher prices for their harvest.

NANO FABRICS

Nano fibers are defined as fibers with diameter less than 1000nm.

Nanotechnology initiative, nanotechnology is defined as the utilization of

structures with at least 1-d of nanometer size for the construction of materials,

devices or systems with novel or significantly improved properties due to their

Nano size.

Nanotechnology can provide high durability for fabrics. A coating of Nano particles

on fabrics will not affect their breath ability or hand feel.

Anti-bacteria, anti-static and UV-protection, flame retardation, improvement of dye

ability and so on.

SMART TEXTILE

Wearable computers can now merge dreamlessly into ordinary clothing using

various conductive textiles data and power distribution as well as sensing circuitry

can be incorporated directly into wash-and-wear clothing.

Smart fabric are ones which can changes/react automatically to their

surroundings. Smart fabrics (-or intelligent textiles) are being developed to be able

to sense what is happening to the wearer or its immediate surroundings.

An example of this would be its capacity to know when the wearers heart rate

spikes or drops unexpectedly, then being able to send such information to a

paramedic of some description.

Sensors

New generation gadgets i.e. Bluetooth, MP3 player are inbuilt in these type of textile.
